Now, not that I disagree that the pursuit of physical training is not driven in part by social pressures, but to assume that’s the only one (or the primary one) for the general training population runs counter to what we know about human nature (and history) - not to mention that is a gross, unsubstantiated generalization over the diversity of the human mind.
Or to dumb it down to your level of discourse, that’s pretty fucking dumb.
Don’t be getting all pseudo-intellectual on me now.

Newsflash: most people do not, and will not, agree with you. Some for very good reasons, some reasons will be classified under clinically insane.
Take an introductory class in Logic, from you philosophy department. It will teach you to see the flaws in someone elses arguments, at the very least, and teach you to form a cogent and persuasive argument of your own, at passing level.

Dude, If you train to make your self look better to others, it’s not a bad thing. It’s great in fact.
But who the hell would want to ‘train for themselves’? What kind of narcissistic prick would do that?
“Dude”…It’s pretty narcissistic to train solely for the sake of attracting women.
Somebody that trains ‘for themselves’ is far less likely to give a fuck about what others think about them compared to somebody that thinks they can hit on a fitness model by working out now and again.
Do women that work out go for men with similar interests? Of course they do. But it is also entirely possible that they may end up hitched to some total dweeb who’s never touched a weight. There is no way to predict the physical and mental preferences of a potential partner. You might end up ticking all the boxes physique-wise, but you may well fall far short in the personality department.
Please go back to playing “Dungeons and Dragons” in the park (which looking at your previous avatar pic is what you’re getting ready to do).
I don’t know what the fuck you wear in red neck Colorado but around where I live, there is this thing called style.
It wasn’t style it was gay, fix your fucking hat and dress like a grown up that has a job and a life. Also you don’t want to go down the redneck road there junior.
Here’s an idea how about you answer my question douche? Or did Mommy make you log off and go to bed already?
If I was the last person on earth would I continue to train?
Wow, you really are dumb. Hmmm, I think if from now on I would have to hunt my own food and survive in the wild I would make sure I remain in great shape, so I can perform the tasks that allow me to survive.

There is not a drop of style seeping from that look, if anything it simply confirms your inability to function with your own level of creativity.
Wearing woman’s sunglasses and positioning a hat so that its original purpose for creation is completely defeated is a powerful display of your stupidity.
This ‘I train for myself’ is BS. Whether you consciously know it or not, you train for wider social implications.
Think again. There have been numerous threads devoted to this. This may apply to some people but don’t cast the net over everyone. As a middle aged, female, power lifter I can’t imagine what the wider social implications would be to my training. I fall into the ‘feed the wolf inside’ camp.
Life experience will teach you that people are driven by different motivation.
We all have the same biological motives, but the social motives vary depending on personal experience. We all need to eat, but not everyone acquires a need to go to the gym like we do. To a large degree, our social motives boil down to hunger, sex and achievement.
No matter what your goal is, it is ultimately to make an impression on others, protect others or dominate others - all social motives that are a product of natural selection - which favors behaviors that maximize reproductive success.

My sentiments exactly. There is a crowd in my city who dress like this, they also tuck their baggy ass jeans into their socks. In this city it is called ‘James Town’ style. I call them bitch-ass punks. Their very presence on the streets tests my resolve not to commit criminal acts.

Dumbass and a half right thur.
LOL your physique and obvious lack of wits wouldn’t allow you to last two minutes ‘in the wild’ you thick fuck.
Training for aesthetic purposes doesn’t make you strong on a strength:weight ratio and certianly doesn’t make you more athletic.
There would be more than enough canned foods which you will end up eating cause you’re too fat to chase down game. Don’t talk about things of which you have no knowledge. Stick to throwing drunken douchebags out of clubs for living, i’m sure your simple mind will appreciate it much more.
