I was gonna ad my latest scare to prisoners thread “Injection pain”
But with the lack of me putting together info real well i didn’t want to clog up a good thing… anyways
I would like to share a little info about the “femoral nerve”
the femoral nerve is located in the leg and supplies the muscles that assist or help straighten the leg. It supplies sensation to the inner/outer front of the thigh and part of the lower leg
i recently had a bad experience where i disrupted the femoral nerve the symptoms were very mixed and i swore i had an infection. the best i can put together the info is to break it down kind of like a log
~day two severe pain traveling upwards and downwards from site
~about day 3 from the shot i was running a high fever i could hardly walk "not good for an iron walking construction worker"also minor knee swelling
~by day 4 i couldn’t even go to work the pain was severe to the touch, i had a swollen knee. about 3 inches upward from the injection site was swollen …started 500mg keflex 4 times a day
~day 5 “pain worse” i seen a doctor he diagnosed, that i had disrupted the femoral nerve
at this point i abandoned the keflex
the doc gave me arthrotec75 and the next day the pain dropped by nearly 50%
its now been 8 days and what a relief, still painful but the anxiety about the whole thing was just as bad and its gone!
