I have been on the AD since last sept and enjoying.
On vacation for a week gave in to temptation and indulged in a few cold ones! I stuck to the main principals on diet but averaged about 80-100 grams per day verses the less than 30 grams.
Should I start the whole 10 day induction over again now that I am home or just drop my carbs down to the less than 30?
What kind of progress have you made since last September? Are you coming closer to your goals? If you are, don’t sweat the vacation week and go back to what you were doing. If you weren’t making progess to being with, start over or try something else.
Since you’ve been on it since September I wouldn’t re do the induction phase. Just go back on the diet. It’s not like it won’t work without the induction phase; that’s only meant to make sure your body is using fat for fuel. A slight detour after months of being fat adapted won’t take long to correct.
mikew55,
Just get back on the program. Slips up are going to happen, but you got the basics of the program and you like it and stuck to it for the most part. It’s a great way to eat.

Ok…Thanks.
I just wasn’t sure that at 80-100 grams of carbs my body was burning glucose instead of fat and it had to “re-learn” to use fat, hence the intro again.
