Kinda reminds me of these socks with an adhesive plastic underlay that we used in gym class when I was 7. Nostalgia ftw. I’m sure they cost $150 less then the vibrams.

I don’t know how much you’re joking or not, but Vibrams are not particularly expensive… at all.
yeah whatever, those nasty gym socks cost like 2 bucks apiece. lol

Im glad to see some of you bigger and stronger guys like them and see a benefit. Since I bought mine over a year ago, I have received tons slack and other comments from powerlifters and wanna be meatheads. Even a damn official of a powerlifting fed gave me lip before telling me I couldnt use them. Anyway, I have seen benefits in both recovery from back/hip injuries and in my squat/dead numbers. Great shoes.

Whaat? Care to elaborate? They’re not allowed in the federation or?

USAPL ruled they are not permitted a few years back, but I don’t know if that is still the case.

^^^still the case

PROFESSOR X, is the name of this thread a reference to the band Little Feat? If so, I love you more. If not, you can still be my e-friend.

Ya it was a USAPL meet. I would have been ok with that but the rep was a little shit. Kept trying to make me feel like a complete dumbass about. He actually told me,“I dont know why anyone would bring those things to a meet.” Sorry bastard had to go smartass on me.

I think Herbie Hancock came first. LOL.

This was a phrase used by writers for african american actors in the 20’s and 40’s in movies usually used as a gag when they saw something scary (Willie Best is most known for it because of his movie with Bob Hope “Ghost Breakers” in 1940).

Little Feet got the name from Hancock…who took the phrase from old movies and made a song of it.

It used to be used as a comedic derogatory take on how blacks speak, but has since been taken much more universally.

At least you knew part of the story though.

Haha 1/3 of the story is good for a 20 year old?

I love Herbie Hancock BTW. Watermelon Man was a huge musical inspiration to me as a youngin. Still is. Little Feat is a great band. Especially like their ‘Waiting for Columbus’ album. What kind of music you into?

^Wrong thread, dude. This is about FEETZ.

…fighting… urge to talk… about Herbie Hancock…

Don’t worry, Nike Frees…you will always be my first love.
Wearing new 3.0’s right now, and I don’t think I’ll ever break up with 'em.

They feel so damn good.

My Feetz

And have you lifted in them yet

Two days now I’ve lifted in them. Probably will lift in these from now on and wear the frees everywhere else.

My size is the largest size they make though. They must have something against people with big feet.

Good to know. Been using Nike free trainers and curious about these funky shoes.

You have relatively wide feet?

I have wide feet and have just gravitated to New Balance because they always have wide sizes available. I’ve never fit into Nike’s (and have never seen a pair with “E” width sizes).

I wear E boots and agree nb fits well out of the box. I’ve found Nike breaks in pretty well though. Just my two cents.
