So i just started my first day of carb cycling low/mid/high. Albeit my mid days are more towards the low end but whatever.
My question is that are carbs the only thing makes a person feel full? I mean i always notice this that if I eat steak and veggies(most boring meals :P) i can eat a whole fucken steak it takes me a while but i can do it but I never feel full.
Is there any thing i can eat on my low/middle carb days at the end of the day thatll make me feel satisfied?
I’ve noticed this. I sometimes wonder if my brain’s satiety signals are even working correctly, then I remember I’m just rebounding from dieting down (I suck at dieting).
My favourite method of attack is to just go crazy with the veggies and just eat enough to feel well and truly stuffed by the end of the meal.
Some people are carb-tolerant & should have 60% or 70% of their calories from carbs, Charles Poliquin said something like this, search " Question of Strength" in the tmuscle website, they’re a series of these volumes up to 42 or something w/ great stuff, i found out that im carb intolerant, after years of blowin farts
Probably just having a hard time adjusting. Check your diet. Maybe to many calories being restricted from the cycling.
Here’s some things I noticed for me. While eating when I start to get thirsty, I’m really full & would stop eating. I stopped eating 5-6x a day. It made me to hungry & moody. I would always think about food & get anxious when 3hours pass. Now I eat 2 meals till full & a some protein/carbs during workouts. It’s satisfying to feel full. I have more time & I can go through the day without thinking about food.

Why not take advantage of that appetite and eat another steak or other protein source? Fuck veggies!
Look for bulk, animal products and other protein/fat sources don’t take up much room in the stomach.
I’m thinking of maybe a fibre supplement, but more likely just stuffing your face full of low-cal veggies, leafy greens in particular since they are physically big and likely to fill.

haha i know rite? Well im just trying to lose some weight at the moment I keep all the fat around my abdomen and i cant stand it any more its at 40 inches Cant handle it driving me crazy LOl I just want to get it down 5 inches to 35 or 34.
If anything carbs don’t feel like they take up any room in the stomach at all.
You can eat 1500 calories worth of carbs and not really feel it.
Try that with protein or fat.
I believe its actually the insulin response that causes this. Carbs literally take up room in the stomach but don’t do much to kill the “hunger” signal.
Just eat a shit ton of protein, problem solved. I DARE someone to eat 3-4 lbs of chicken breasts and tell me they are still hungry.

For the record, it’s pretty much impossible to get fat from eating excess steak/chicken/fish, it’s just not going to happen. Carbs are the enemy of the dieter! Not protein/fats.

Ya I know thats why im trying this carb cycling thing. Its impossible for me to completely cut-off carbs So i figure id try the next best thing. You really think though that from steak its not easy to get fat in excess? It usually is alot more caloric dense(i think) or has alot saturated fat then the other 2.
If it were up to me Id have Cajun Catfish Fish and rice every meal haha.

I just don’t think it’s possible to get fat off quality meat products, I’ve never seen it happen. Shit If I had enough money I’d eat steak for every meal with a few cups of oats thrown in throughout the day.
when I cut carbs i am ALWAYS ravenous for food… since I cant afford that much protein (agree with waylander on this one) I just eat a shit ton of iceburg lettice with each meal with a mixture of oil and viniger for dressing…
iceburg lettice is basically water and fiber… as such no real calories and it will fill you up eating a half a head… when I get really hardcore about dieting I do the lettice with a coupple tins of tuna on it and it fills me up for low callories with lots of protien… I have eaten 3 heads in a day…
spinch is also another good alternative… recently I mix the iceburg and spinch…

I suppose it depends on the person.
I have to buy nuts only quite rarely, as I can readily eat 1500 cal at a single sitting and I really can’t tell that I’ve eaten anything at all.
