Hi buddies,

Well since I invented this thread, I might as well contribute.

Since the last check-in, I have been preparing myself for the up-coming soccer season. This year I have decided to play at a lower weight. Running around for 90 minutes weighing 100 kg wasn’t doing me any favours. I have increased my conditioning and skill work and I am following 5/3/1 with the athletic assistance template, 2 times a week. Im no longer concerned with aesthetics/hypertrophy and my goal in the gym is to maintain/increase strength. I eat mainly paleo and try get the majority of my carbs before and after training. Im down to about 93 kg, after weighing in at 99 kg at the end of December.

Thanks buddies. I still plan to lose 2-3 more kg’s, so I’m not going to really “progress” in the bodybuilding department. I’m going to be one of those little guys on YouTube who can squat more than the big guys, if you know what I mean.

Lots of great work in here!

The end of Aug. I began a bulk that just finished right around Christmas time. I went from 131ish to 142. Very happy with the results. Since then I have brought my weight back to 131.

Current short term goals ~ drop 6 pounds in 9 weeks (125#). Clean and press 145 by end of feb. (small friendly challange that I need to WIN! :D)

Then decide on weak areas and BULK some more!!

And here is my clean and press. 130# at 131 BW.

I received some great feed back on form that should help pile on a few more pounds :slight_smile:
