Favorite T-Nation Coach?

I can’t believe I forgot Labuff.

His “celery and side bends specialization program” have allowed for some ab-tastic progress!

Jim Fucking Wendler

Now there was a troll you could be proud of.

I like how some people think it’s cool to use a favorite T-Nation coach thread to state they don’t like Waterbury.

Bet y’all feel like part of the in crowd, now, huh?

And, yes - Dr. Hyght does have a badass build.
People stopped liking Waterbury when he got skinny and started tagging all of his articles with that god-awful glamour shots/bedroom eyes headshot.
While I would bet that quite a few people around here dislike him simply because it’s fashionable to do so nowadays, I did laugh at the glamor/bedroom eyes head shot bit. Very pretty boy of him to roll with that pic for his articles.

Oh, and while I don’t agree with everything the man has to say, I consider Shugart to be the best writer on this site (though this may be subject to change - I do like John Romaniello’s blog and articles but am holding judgment until I’ve read more of his stuff).

A lot of the contributers are great but the most I am learning a lot from reading Bonez/CC’s posts. I can honestly say that CC has helped me the most with bodybuilding.

Just so everyone knows, if glamor shots mean you guys aren’t going to like me, I don’t have much left to work with =(

Now I’ll actually have to write good articles. Fuck this job.

(EDIT: On a more serious note, thanks for anyone who mentioned my name. I appreciate being listed among such august and well-established company. I really look forward to continuing to create some good stuff for you guys, and help in any way I can. But I’m still gonna post my head-shots, cause, well…that’s kinda my thing.)

Dan John, Dave Tate, Jim Wendler.

You can find something useful in just about every article, and if youre too close minded to see that, then its your loss.

Me personally, I like Thibaudeau and Waterbury, Shugart and the occasional rant from Prof X.

TYPE2B

Seriusly… I think it depends:

Strength: Elitefts (dave, jim, even kroc)

Physique enhancing: roman is one that makes kinda lot of sense.

Overwall: I like how Thib explain things like floss, muscle gain, strength, power etc… Have to say that i like the Scientific Background that he posts.

And For combat, it’s not a coach but his posts make a shitload of sense, Xen is the guy =)

Dave Tate? yes. He is starting to become my fav coach.

Being the beat up old wreck that I am, I pay special attention to anything written by Cressey and Robertson. I also like Jonny Bowden’s nutrition articles. Dave Tate’s benching video was very helpful for me as well.
Really, there’s too many good ones to name here.

Ive always liked Scot Abel’s stuff
I pretty much look for all the pictures of Scott Abel that say “circa XXXX” underneath them. I am almost positive there’s never been a picture posted of him that’s actually recent. Always cracked me up.

I don’t think article quality is related much to the coach. I’ve seen shit articles by coaches and decent ones by the same guys. It just depends on the effort of the writer and the topic. A lot of stuff is rehashed to be honest, but then again it’s not easy to come up with an incredibly enlightening article for every day of the week (or just about that frequency).

CT’s has some good stuff, some bad. Same with JB, CW, etc. The video instructional articles like Tate’s bench press one are very good. T-Nation: FOLLOW THAT FORMAT! IT IS UNIQUE!

Recent articles that I thought were GOOD: the back, chest and now tri articles by Clay Hyght. I also liked the one about the Third World Squat by Craig Weller and the Neandrethal No More series. Those types of articles are great (because the info is always applicable regardless of training goal).

Tate, wendler and bowden and my favorite. Recently I have liked John Romaniello article on specialisation and Clay hight article on how to build a bodybuilder —.

Jim Wendler’s probably my favorite to read, I like him and Dave. I think Thibbs is really informative and helpful to everyone here too. Wendler’s the man tho
