Favorite Superhero or Villian

My three favorites have already been mentioned: Punisher, Wolverine, and Batman.

I like the Punisher the most because he is a normal human being. I can relate to him the most. He also doesn’t fuck around with people. If they’re bad, they’re dead. We need more people like him in the world.

Batman, on the other hand, was born into an insanely wealthy family, which may as well be a mutant super power. However, he is a human being that manages to do super human things, which is extremely cool.

Wolverine obviously has the mutant healing ability, so he’s no normal guy off the street. But he’s the consummate T-Mutant bad ass, ripping off one liners along with villains’ faces.

I’m a fan of Cyclops. I kinda look like him, my real name is Scott, my wife has red hair. it just fits.

Deadpool is my favourite superhero.

Villain, hmmm, probably Venom.

Hands down my favorite villian…CARNAGE

I have always been a fan of the Silver Surfer. I know he’s coming out in the new Fantastic Four movie, but he’s been around a long time. I just like the way he talked and “the Power Cosmic” he was able to employ.

I was most impressed when he used the Hulk’s rage to increase his own power to finally break free from his exile on earth (OK so that was a long time ago). After he broke free, he realized he couldn’t leave Bruce Banner drifting in orbit to die, so he went back - and got imprisoned again. I read on wikipedia that he finally broke free from earth - but I haven’t really read comics for a looonnnggg time.

I like pretty much all the characters from Powers by Bendis and Oeming. It’s a good series and it makes me think of the line from Zero Effect “There are no good guys. There are no bad guys. It’s just a bunch of guys.”

WOW… we got a few Wolverines and a few Hulks… wonder if there is gonna be a fight?

He was mentioned a few times… but no pics… so…

They could be super-ugly.
Like Mojo???

My favorite superhero would have to be Iron Man. A lot of people say that Batman is the best because he’s got no powers and whatnot, but he’s got all those gadgets and the batcave. Not to mention that he inherited a multibillion dollar enterprise. Tony Stark created his fortune from his own genius, selling munitions and then created the first Iron Man suit.

I think the technology Batman uses in his utility belt along with the batcave are pretty much equivalent to the Iron Man suit. So in some sense, Iron Man and Batman are almost the same character to me. Both kick ass, neither have any powers except for amazing intellects and keen sense of business and strategy.

So many for so many reasons

Captain America
The Thing
Black Goliath(I know I have a thing for 70’s blaxploitation characters)
Magneto(when done right)
Dr Doom(greatest line ever to Tony Stark “I had the painting destroyed becasue it offended me” talking about a priceless Da Vinci)

The blaxploitation line got me thinking of another one I loved as a kid - Luke Cage - Power Man. He was just plain cool - and he worked for the money, not for some higher minded calling.

While my avatar is currently Captain America (with whom I became much more interested after reading some New Avengers and the Civil War series), my #1 is still the Dark Knight.

That is a ridiculously bad-ass picture of Batman, thanks for posting that; I have to save that one.

Do you happen to know who the artist is on that one?

Jim Lee

Thanks. I’m going to have to check that run out.

I’d like to add a couple of Batman titles to my monthly “pull” folder at the shop, but there’s so friggin’ many of them these days I don’t even know where to begin…

Let me see if I can find that same picture again in a larger size somehow. I believe I had it much, much bigger and shrunk it down for the My T-Nation section.

Mine is Venom

This new crop of female characters with rediculous bodies and costumes is a little perverted and juvenile to me. More for guys to jerk off to than tell a story about right and wrong. Just go buy a Playboy or something. Wonder Woman is down-right prudish compared to these gals.

Comic book guy with ridiculous body and minimal costume :)
That is totally gay.

She does???

I kinda like it! And not for the whole jerkin off thing… you should remember from a previous thread of yours that… well… never mind.

I’ll give you Emma looks trampy, she always has, thats part of her appeal. But let us all remember that comics, both guys and girls, are about SUPER humans… they gotta be hot!
Wonder Woman has changed since the old “Superfriends” Saturday morning cartoon days.
