Favorite Stand-up Comedians?

I don’t know; Dane Cook is hit or miss with me. Sometimes he really makes me laugh, but most of the time he bores and annoys me. I really don’t get why he is so popular right now.
College students. Same reason Family Guy is so popular right now.

Steven Wright should be mentioned all over this list…such an original act and delivery.

I once spilled spot remover on my dog…

He’s gone.
When I turned two I was really anxious, because I’d doubled my age in a year. I thought, if this keeps up, by the time I’m six I’ll be ninety.

Chapelle can make even the stupidest skit hilarious, delivery is off the charts…that whole sketch about the dude jerking off on a bus had me rolling, and it wasn’t even that funny.

Chapelle is the master of jokes that aren’t funny and everybody tries to copy but can’t come close to pulling off. Which actually gets kind of annoying. If I hear one more white guy botch, “I’m Rick James bitch!” again I’m gonna kill myself.

I’ve kept a diary since I was born.

Day 1: Still tired from the move.

Day 2: Everybody is talking to me like I’m some kind of idiot.

I forgot about Robin Harris. R.I.P.

“Dem BeBe’s kids.”
“Gotta go, gotta go!”

“Bleep you! Officers of the god-dam law! You don’t know who you’re fuckin’ with; I’m from a small town called Fresh Off a Cops Ass! And you’re making me homesick!”-House Party

“Hell no goddamit! I ain’t boycottin’ Sal. You need to boycot that goddam barber that fucked up yo’ head!”-Do the Right Thing

“Got a weight problem! Can’t wait to eat!”-House Party

“goddam, you sound like a set of bookends”-to the police in House Party

I completely agree with Mitch Hedburg and Dave Chappelle. Both hilarious!

One name that I have not seen mentioned was Nick Swardson. His jokes are really funny, clever and light hearted.

I suggest you check him out on the comedy central website.

gotta add David Cross to this thread.
He’s a little too political for some people’s taste but I like him.

David Cross is indeed the best.

Is Lenny Bruce on the list yet? Yaddah yaddah yaddah, Warden.

Doug Stanhope and Bill Hicks are the best.

In addition to a lot of the ones mentioned…

Jim Gaffigan (his Hot Pockets bit is amazing)
Frank Caliendo (best Madden impression ever)
These two nearly made me piss myself.

“He’s goin to hell. You can’t say that”

John Leguizamo is one funny fucker.

There’s a blast from the past.

im a big fan of eddie murphy’s older work, like delerious. the part where he was talking about “the faht game” and the bathtub scene was CLASSIC “and G.I. Joe was swimming underwater…”

im also a big fan of jeff dunham. comedian who is also a ventriloquist. check him out when you get the chance.
