As do many parental lessons.

I am currently trying to get my 14 year old to display some other facial expression beyond ā€œpermanent scowlā€.

I’m 46 and it took a while for that lesson to sink in. I can really say I just got it in the last year or two.

I hear the same thing from Jocko, which lead me to stoicism as a whole.

Nope.
They’re the Australish people, sometimes called Australiards.

Australic is related to the people and culture of Australia, but not necessarily Australish.

Now, it is said that people like Seneca were taking all the philosophizing jobs from real full blooded Roman people.

Not Latino? I mean, he was a dude, wasn’t he? Or is his gender up to debate now?

You guys aren’t talking about Seneca Rocks, are you?

Thats the only Seneca I’m familiar with.

Some guy from Cordoba who worked for this big shot in Rome.

Apparently he was careless and got hacked 'cause all the mail he sent to Lucilius got out in the open.
I dunno if that’s what set him off, but his boss freaked out and set everything on fire.

All of our genders are up for debate now.

I’m still good friends with one of my philosophy profs from school. Sent over some screenshots of the jokes made here, man was absolutely dying laughing. Love the smartassness lol
