Favorite Country Songs

I like to make playlists for my long drives and need a good country music one.

What are some of your favorite songs?

Not originally a country song, but Willie does it right:

Great choices for the DAC songs. Gotta love the X Rated album and Never Even Called Me By My Name is one of the all time best songs to drink to.

The term country covers so much now.

Some awesome stuff here guys, thanks.

I just started listing to Whitey Morgan this year. He is damn good. Never thought a Yankee from Michigan could sing country like that, but he’s the real deal.

I would never need a country playlist because country music is all basically good and the stations come in free of static where ever you are at. My very favorite type of music is generally Rock/Poprock but on those stations I have to wade through a lot of crappy songs I don’t want to hear and if I’m on the road, tuning into a good rock or pop-rock station is a challenge.

Country music stations always tune in and the music is always enjoyable.

Waylon–Ladies Love Outlaws, Me and Bobbi McGee, If You Could Touch Her at All, Good Hearted Woman, A Couple More Years, Let’s All Help the Cowboys Sing the Blues, The Taker, I’ve Always Been Crazy, Billy.
Willie–Turn Out the Lights, Till I Can Gain Control Again
Kris–Help Me Make it Through the Night
Johnny–Green, Green Grass of Home. Tennessee Flat Top Box. I Walk the Line. Wreck of the Old '97.
