He’s not very original and obviously draws all his inspiration from outlaw country bands like Waylon and Hank but as a band they are very solid with some great production values.
Okay, I’m not a Country Music fan in the least however, I did pick up the latest album (yes, on vinyl ) from Sturgill Simpson.
I liked it so much that I looked up his tour dates and saw him and his band play a live show in Tucson, AZ.
He has commented that he records country music for folks that don’t like country music; he succeeded.
