Favorite Christian Music

I thought some of my Christian Brothers and Sisters would like to post some videos or names of songs they like. Since I am starting this thread thought I would post something I am working out to right now.

This band was started by one of the members of Korn.

a different genre.

Another song for lifting.

get juiced for some Bench, Squats, and Deadlifts.

Cardio anyone?

Cool Down.

Live

Alice Cooper and Megadeth!
Many know Alice and Dave Mustaine are both Born Again Christians now, yet CONTINUE
to play their old stuff anyway.

Pretty cool, Alice one hard rock’s pioneers, and Dave a Thrash Metal pioneer…both Christian now.

Hillsong is awesome. I love Darlene. We sing this song at church. There’s nothing more beautiful than God’s people lifting high praise to the King of creation. This is in Australia. Gives me hope for that nation.

I literally almost got in an accident one time on 8 mile going to a customers house listening to this one in my car.

"Singing blessing and honor and glory and power
Forever to our God

Star of the morning, Light of salvation
Majesty
God of all mysteries, Lord of the universe
Righteous King"

Praise His holy name!!!

Let’s not forget dear Twila. This song has helped me through some really tough times.

An old classic from when I first got saved. This song tore my heart out when I was drunk and backslidden in rebellion and I knew I was living in the very sin that crucified my Master…

So many voices telling me which way to go
So many choices come from those who think they know

There’s a way that seems right to a man, but it only brings him death
I wanna go the way that leads to life till I draw my dying breath

Don’t wanna be a manpleaser
I wanna be a Godpleaser
I just wanna have the wisdom to discern the two apart
Don’t wanna be a manpleaer
I wanna be a Godpleaser
I just wanna do the things that please the Father’s heart

Some make a sacrifice and never let it show
Some make a point of letting everybody know
Some will live their lives as unto men, and they have their reward

I just wanna do everything I do with all my heart unto the Lord

Chorus

I just want my life to glorify His Son
To make my Father proud that I’m His child before I’m done
No need to pat me on the back or stop to shake my hand
I just want to hear my Father say, “well done”, “well done”
I just want to hear my Father say, "well done

Favorite Hymn I wonder why?

Also good

I also listen to plenty of Jaci Velasquez.

I didn’t know there was Christian metal worth listening to but heard Brian Welsh’s testimony and I enjoyed his song as well.

Preach it fat man!

Tirib bringing up some good ones from the past. I personally did not get into Christian music till about 1994. This is the first song that got me hooked onto Christian Music.

There is a ton of Christian Metal worth listening to. Most will fall into the Metalcore genre, but there is a lot of good stuff. Here is a list.

Pretty cool video of the US Air Force with some really good Christian Metal.

Third Day, Toby Mac, The Newsboys, and the new Audio Adrenaline are aways good. There are others like Skillet and Red that are good but the NSA’s best analysts couldn’t find a Christian reference in their music, so I don’t consider them Christian.

The best show i’ve seen is back in the day when Third Day opened for Michael W Smith.

1987

A tribute to the mighty prophet Elijah. Cultic regimes. 1988

“Listen to this, the bible it says, one God’s the maker of all. If you don’t believe that Jesus is God, my God made yours that’s all” LOL!

Should we remove Ester from the Bible because there is no reference to God? Not trying to be an ass with that question.

I love Skillet and Red. They might not say God or Jesus, but the message sure shows they are Christian. Their music shows what life is really like. I wish life was like a lot of Christian music out there, but life is tough and IMO Skillet and Red show that.

Also both bands are crossover bands so anyway the message can get to the unsaved is good in my book. Not many bands can walk that fine line between secular and Christian, but both Red and Skillet do a good job.

They just don’t play them old Sunday songs like they used to…

Preach it Brother. Sing to Jesus.

Sifu this your style of Christian Music?

Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring

Handel’s Messiah

stuff like that

You gotta go way back to find good Christian music imo. Everything created this century fucking sucks.

Rutter’s Gloria was done this century, but has the feeling of Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and the such. I sang all of these as a TMEA Allstate Bass I.

I love all music as long as the message gives Glory to God. I am still branching out to new genres of music and still learn all the time.

Keep them coming brothers and sisters, but please no judging other’s style of Christian music.
