Anybody here remember Tranzor Z?

Originally called Manziger Z in Japan it was heavily edited for the US market. Even so, as I kid I noticed how violent it was compared to other cartoons, one episode in particular I remember 2 good guy scientists getting burned to death by the bad guy.
There were also Aphrodite A’s titty missles.

Oh man, you just brought back a flood of memories. I had that toy!

Did the titties shoot?
Haha…I only had the Tranzor toy, but I remember the titty rockets from the cartoon.

I always caught Hong Phooey, too. (Numba One Supa Guy!)

OH SHIT Tranzor Z i remember that, my god…btw i remember tiger sharks, what about biker mice from mars?

Any body remember Brave Starr? Set in the future on the planet “New Texas” it featured cowboys, a cybernetic horse, and a Native American intergalatic space marshall named Bravestarr, with the eyes of a hawk, strength of a bear, and his cybernetic horse/sidekick.

One of my creative writing teachers in college was a writer for that show. As I recall, the quality was pretty good, but it was only on the air 2 seasons. My favorite part was when the smart-mouthed robo-horse would pull his lever-action laser cannon out of his leg and seriously fucked some bad-guys shit up.

wat about street sharks, they kept it real for the homies

Thundar the Barbarian
I was afraid I’d get to the end of the thread w/o a Thundarr the Barbarian mention.

Thank you Doogie!

Sure he was basically Starwars meets Conan, but come on, isn’t that what we all wanted!

EDIT: I was trying to attach a picture, but it’s not coming through. Here’s a link to some old Mattel catalog pics that should give you an idea:

Godzilla and Shogun WarriorsI Mattel I 1979 I Godzilla's Gang I Plaidstallions.com
I had all those!!! Lost every missile, hand and anything else that might have shot out of those guys, but I LOVED them, so big. After those I wanted all my toys to be big like those, but they never made toys that were big like that and playable as far as I know since.

edit I had these the jumbo versions.

Oh my god. You really posted that. The only reason I watched “Recess” was because it came on before school. My choices were limited. You had an option. I didn’t.

The original Space Ghost with the two side kicks and the monkey

OR

The Space Ghost that hung out with Moltar and Zorak while hosting a late night talk show. I liked both.

Pretty much anything that was on this tv show…

As a kid the original…as a high school kid…moltar and zorac. Im gonna have to “you tube” talk show space ghost now.

Ok, lets go way back. I little limited in my day. Not only by what was out there but by what you could pick up on your t.v.

Johnny Quest
Bugs Bunny & the Road Runner
Popeye

Dark Wing Duck+Duck Tales, among a bunch of others already listed.

Dragonball Z, that one cartoon with the buff Kung Fu sharks, and other stuff like that.

And the old Toon Disney and Disney channel was actually pretty good. Look above for an example.

Pinky and the Brain

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The theme song is permanently etched into my brain. Michelangelo was my favorite because he’s a party dude. I also liked the fact that splinter was a radical rat.

Watching the show also made me very anti anchovies as a child.
