These have thus far replaced any fav I used to have.

Hey Ragoo,

Where did you buy Rogue Dead Guy Ale? Maybe I can find it in Lafayette.

My favorite pool hall finally started carrying Abita, which gives me 3 reasons to keep showing up.

 1. Big Tits
 2. Quality beer
 3. 9-ball (of course reasons 1 and 2 are probably why my game still sucks)
The mom&pop store just down the street from me carries all the beers I listed. One of the owners is a guy about my age that enjoys beer too. So he stocks a bunch of different beers, and a friend and I always chat with him about which ones we like. So he keeps our favs in stock as well. Plus we get the word out to buy beer from his store so he’ll keep bringing in new ones. He’s planning on adding 50 feet of cooler space to accomodate more beer. AWESOME!

Ugh, I cringe at the mere sight of The Beast and Natty Lite.

I go to school in a small town in upstate NY. TOnight is mug night at the local bar, which means 32 oz. of Natty Ice for $1. Thursday is definitely my favorite night of the week.

Natt Ice tastes like salted urine. Natty Light is another story.
Natty light is watered down urine.

Being in Colorado, the microbrew environment has gotten a lot better the last 10 years. The New Belgium selection is great which includes:

Fat Tire
Sunshine Wheat
2Below
Mothership Wit
Abbey
1554

http://www.newbelgium.com/beers.php

just to name a few. Recently I have been drinking a Durango wheat that is excellent. Picking a favorite beer is like picking a favorite food or movie, too many good ones to choose from.

For those of you who drink bud light, coors light, miller or any of the other chain domestics I challenge you to acquire another taste and support your local brewery. Although I do enjoy a dollar PBR when the budget is hurting.

 1. New Glarus “Fat Squirrel”
 2. Leinenkugels “Leinies Red”
 3. Points “Point Special”

Gotta support the home grown brews…

Waterloo Dark, its like a guinness with less of a bad aftertaste

I am very partial so Session Lager, Stone Porter and almost any stout.

Shiner Boch

Absolute favorite: Unibroue La Terrible.

Daily drinking: Strzelec Porter and Żywiec Porter. Baltic porters are nothing like the British porter style, just vaguely inspired by it.

Being in England we have some great Ales but i prefer Bavarian Lagers.

Pilsner Urquell

Budvar (Czechvar in the States for copyright reasons I believe)

Quite like Tyskie too. (Poland)

D’Achouffe blonde

belgian beer here in montreal, 9% alcohol very spicy.

Maudite and Fin du Mond are good too at 8-9% abv.

And Guinness will always kick ass

I’m probably missing out on some very, very fine brews.

My beer of choice since it was introduced back in the mid '70’s…Miller Lite.

Prior to that it was Miller High Life.

I did mix in a few Corona’s this last summer, to the shock of my closest beer hoisting friends.

LOL, I didn’t realize I was in such a minority until now when it came to beer choice!

magic hat #9
guinness
sam adams any kind
captain lawrence (local brew)
miller genuine draft fav. cheap beer

What the shit are you talking about? I raise your “bad aftertaste” bullshit, and suggest Biotest make a guinness flavored Surge.

I think I may have forgotten corona on my original list, for the summer.

The best is usually at your local microbrewery. I like to ask the bartender what he recommends.

The “best” bottle is sometimes situational. For instance, on a blazing hot summer’s day, I can’t imagine much better than a Pacifico with lime.

However, for general drinking purposes:

Stone Brewing Arrogant Bastard Ale
Rogue Dead Guy Ale
Karl Strauss Amber Lager
Issaquah Brewhouse (owned by Rogue) Two Frog (Belgian style doppel).
ADDENDUM: Forgot the Menage a Frog, Issaquah’s Belgian Trippel
Pete’s Wicked Ale
Pete’s Wicket Winter Brew
Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale

I also like a lot of IPAs but none springs to mind as an all-time favorite.

Corona is nappy - but better than Tecate and about the same as Dos Equis green bottle. Get a Pacifico, a Modello Especial or a Bohemia - or a Sol Cerveza (better than Corona).

I find Pete’s Wicked ale not so wicked. I was a bit disappointed after trying it. It’s not bad, just not as good as I’d expected.

Gonna hit the olde English stuff this weekend.

Will report later on.

I find that people that love Guinness (this guy!) tend to also adore Bodingtons. Same great flavor, only it seems less dense.

It’s like Guinness light. I used to enjoy it a lot in college, where the local pizza place had it on tap. It wasn’t quite as good out of the bottle.
