I tried the Ommegang…had a dreary taste…wasn’t bad…just not exciting…I think it’s brewed in Syracuse which could explain it.
Cooperstown, actually. Right near the Baseball HoF. Ommegang puts out a few different brews. Abbey Ale is probably their most well known and generic Belgian style, but Three Philosophers is a little different. It’s closest to an after dinner port I think.
Golden Monkey has some kick. It’s about 9%, which is double or triple what most beers are. Tastes real good going down though. The trick is to not let other people know until they’ve had a couple.

They have alot of these beers at the outback steakhouse. If tried a few, but only like fosters.
Most of the beers I listed are localy brewed beers, like Abita, which is made in Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA; Sam Adams is made in Boston, Mass, USA (i think), and those great stouts and ale come from ireland and england.

I go to school in a small town in upstate NY. TOnight is mug night at the local bar, which means 32 oz. of Natty Ice for $1. Thursday is definitely my favorite night of the week.
Any Sam Adams. Octoberfest right now, Boston Lager is a good choice all year round. Anything from Brooklyn Brewery.
