Well I’m not scaring cattle through a chute. Yeee Hawww to a cow means “get” pronounced giiiyet. As in get moving. It’s not a chest thumping celebration even if the old school westerns disagree.

But I usually am in boots (slip on ropers, not hiking or work boots) and jeans, a t-shirt, aviator sunglasses and a cammo ball cap when shooting beer out of the sky.

FWIW I spend most of my life in the nations 4th largest city. I wake up in a neighborhood, travel through a complex highway system and sit in an office building surrounded by other office buildings and wear slacks and a tie, sometimes a coat when necessary. Clean shaven, short hair, clean fingernails, freshly showered…

For lunch I can order chinese, mexican, indian, cuban, thai, african, american, bbq, italian, russian, greek and I’m probably forgetting some. We also have world class museums, theater, opera, the largest park system in the US and other sophisticated gems.

But I do feel most comfortable in either jeans and boots shooting guns or shorts and flip flops on a boat deck, oodles of beer in both scenarios and a beard growing as long as my time away from civilization allows. Usually slightly better than a 5 o’clock.
But could you just say that that is what you say when you shoot beer cans out of the sky?

Please.

And maybe there can be vids.
Ok I say that.

I don’t have any vids. I make it a point to leave communication devices at home when I’m out, and I use my phones camera but I guess I could take some, it is that time of year.

Once, years ago when phones were phones only, a friend brought a camcorder to the ranch. We were very disturbed by the video when we watched it later.

It’s hard to explain accurately but at roughly 3am, after the five of us had more beer than would be believed, there were guns going off every where in camp, I mean every which direction.

One guy in the background was literally trimming tree branches with a 12 gauge, another was popping wheelies right buy a huge, and I mean huge, bonfire on his four wheeler (quad?) and shooting his pistol in the air. He was yelling yee haw, honestly.

There were two guys fighting and I was playing toss and catch with a knife. Someone had set the camera up on a table and we all forgot about it and our activities until watching.

We decided that rather than curb our beer consumption, we should just ignore the video and leave cameras out of it. Just in case some one got hurt, it would have to be an accident, no evidence.

Nobody else would understand this unless you were from Texas or other rural southern state.

Brought back memories. This is a picture of my brother with his wife and kids at my parents ranch.

I’m glad you posted a pic and seconded the activity, I fear I would have been labeled an e-tough guy otherwise.

Looks like you guys are in good ol’ S. Texas brush country. I used to hunt Poteet, I’m outside Uvalde now.

PS. I see the Redwings.

^ Yep the ranch is in Karnes county. Family all wear Redwings. Women are all into Ariat. Parents have a hundred acre ranch, have about 30 beefmaster and 5-6 longhorns.

We are not hunting out there, we just all go out to shoot.

Nice! I ate at the bbq joint in Karnes City once. I can’t think of the name but it was pretty good. A little too German for my taste but still bbq none the less.

Texas doesn’t have a monopoly on this, and it’s been around for a looong time.

True, but my picture is recent where you had to pull something from 100 years ago.

And you would have to be retarded to wear a full suit in s. texas in september.

Plus if we say we have a monopoly we do. What about it?

Careful now! That picture is from my ancestry research, and I’m directly related to the McCoys of the Hatfield/McCoy feud, so I know how to do some right proper feudin’!!

Hallowed, I noticed you listed astrology. I read a 1,000 page book on it once to impress a girl (I was 15 at the time). I’m a Cancer, she was a Pisces. I asked her for her time, date and coordinates of birth (March 15, 1979, Montreal, QC). I cast her chart.

It seemed like two water signs would be perfect. I asked her out. She said no. I used the knowledge to break the ice with women for 15 years thereafter. True story.
