so just wondering what some of your favorite cities of the various places youve traveled are.
for me id say my number one pic was Las Vegas. i just liked the whole atmosphere. lots of people around, everyone seemed pretty relaxed…minus the dude i was about to fight cause he beeped at me when i crossed the street, but other than that i had an overall good time there. i wasnt 21 when i went so im sure there was a lot more to be had that i didnt experience (basically all the best stuff)
another cool place i went to was this little villa in San Jose. its like just a city square/downtown area but it was cool cause there was a lot of outdoor stuff and even a live mariachi band. there was a lot of high end shopping there too so id say its cool to drop in have a drink and do the whole nightscene once in a while.
Hollywood is definately different than any other place ive been too. its pretty unique and at the time i went i wasnt really feeling it. a lot of cool stores and stuff if you like sneakers and the whole hipster fashion deal.
but theres some weird ass people too. i remember seeing a mad obvious transvestite there, probaly the only place ive ever seen one before. …well i think i saw a pair in Fanuel Hall, Boston b4. anyway, seems like itd be a cool place to party.
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, is by far the most babe filled city I’ve been to, people are great, beaches are crazy (copacabana best nude beach in the world FTW). If you go during carnival time you can expect to have a great time. Too bad i was young when i went, i will be returning no doubt.
As far as in the united states, myrtle beach was pretty cool, full of good looking people, sun, alright beaches, lot of stuff to do and nice hotels.
Grenada, Spain. This is a crazy, medieval Islamic city. For Americans who have grown up in “newer” cities it is just really difficult to grasp the architecture and the way the streets are laid out.
I made the mistake of going there during Semana Santa but I was stoned on cheep Moroccan hashish the whole time. What a blast.
Spain, in general, is inexpensive outside of the tourist centers. Consider this, when I last went I could go into a pub and order a bottle of beer for .80 Euros and also got a tapas with every beer.
Madison, WI - went to school there. As long as you are young enough to party with the college kids (and pretty much the whole town on a football saturday) you’ll have a blast.
Boston, MA - went out there for a Twins game two years ago and fell in love with the city.
Santa Monica, CA - I love all of SoCal, but Santa Monica, with it’s beach and pier, rock. Lots of great night life in the area as well.
Minneapolis, MN - my hometown. If you’ve been here (especially in the summer) you know why. I’d be happy to provide details should anyone be curious.
London- I liked the juxtaposition of the old and new, drinking a 400 year old ale recipe in a 600 year old pub was incredible and I enjoyed pretty much all the touristy and non-touristy spots alike that I visited.
Rome - just really fucking awesome. Beautiful scenery, cool history, beautiful people and they really love americans.
Paris - Mostly for the history and food. I don’t care much for the Parisian culture.
Washington D.C. - awesome for any red blooded american. The Smithsonian is fantastic, I was able to tour the white house and library of congress (being in the white house was super cool) and seeing the subtle but definite mark of a given group of people I’m familiar with virtually every where was cool too.
Puerto Vallarta - bitches, beer, thong bikinis, more bitches, tequila, great food, more bitches… a beach… I should say this list is in no particular order of preference.
Cancun - reference puerto vallarta.
Brussels Belgium - turned me in to a chocaholic.
I’ve been to lots of other cool cities but those stick out from the bunch.
I notice when traveling abroad that regardless what the news or bleeding heart liberals will tell you about the world attitude toward americans due to Iraq, foriegners love americans.
They really do love our culture, blue jeans, rock and roll, hollywood etc etc.
I find that a step above being american, being Texan is really awesome. They eat that shit up. Endless questions about horses, hats, oil, guns etc etc like we are all cowboys driving cattle to the midwest or something. Especially in Europe.

In the US, my favorites are New York, San Diego, and Boston, in Indianapolis.
Got a date planned to spend the night with my lady in Indy for Valentine’s. In a suite overlooking circle center, or the other major park down the road, don’t know the name. Reservations set for Ruth Chris Steak House.
Outside of the US that i’ve been to I’d have to say anything in Sweden especially in the winter. Been there twice.
I went to Barcelona on a school trip in middle school, and even with all the teachers and what not it was still an incredible trip, such a great city. Lots of very good street performers, and the food was great, and the women were gorgeous. I am supposed to go back over spring break, and I can not wait.
