Fav Cities?

Now what does a middle schooler know about great food and gorgeous women?

When I was in middle school cheeseburgers were great food and women…, well, any girl over 16 that showed some skin was gorgeous

But I agree, Barcelona is a cool city.

What is everybody’s opinion on Seattle.

I haven’t been to many, but I really liked Washington D.C. and New York.

I live pretty close to Philly, but I think the city’s a shit hole for the most part.

More than most full grown men, looking at the whales some of my friends have dated

Miami, I love Ocean Drive.

Foreign cities:

 1. Beijing - The NYC of the Orient.
 2. Seoul - The Chicago of the Orient.
 3. Toronto - I was here years ago but I have fond memories.
 4. Wuhan, China - Like a mini Beijing, with only 8 million people. I spent a LOT of time here.
 5. Galati, Romania - This little city right on the Danube had some of the best-looking women I’ve ever seen.

Domestic:

 1. Pittsburgh - home
 2. Vegas - Exhaustingly fun in short bursts.
 3. Maui - Not really a city, but awesome nonetheless.
 4. New Orleans - Best food in the world.
 5. Cleveland - The Mistake by the Lake is my second home, like it or not.

Too much fucking traffic, bro, and the restaurants are over-rated.

Story; I was there for a baseball tournement and got hit right below the eye with a pitch. Afterward I just wanted to lie down with an ice pack so the swelling would go down and the split in the skin could heal up with minimal scaring.

Unfortunately I was staying with one of the owners of my company and didn’t want to ruin her plans to take my wife and I out. She took us to Pike Place, which I would normally find pretty cool but I was in way too surly of a mood.

I wandered too close to one of the fish places where they chuck the fish around and I didn’t realize that is what they did. Suddenly a fish went flying past my head and when the guy caught it I was splattered with juice. I turned on the guy, shouting him down, telling him I was going to kick his ass. He was genuinely terrified, I’m sure the big patch of my face made it scarier for him. He probably thought I was a boxer or something.

To this day, I’m not sure if my boss saw the whole thing, but I’m still employed.

Well I guess theres a difference if you’re going to a city to live in or to visit - a lot of people say las vegas is shit to actually live in but great to visit.

Anyways, any major city has a lot to offer. Sydney is freakin incredible in that it’s so huge you could do something different every day for the rest of your life and never get bored. I was there for a study abroad trip and there were still a ton of things left unseen. No matter what you want Sydney has it somewhere - even if you like wildnerness all it takes is a ferry or train ride. I could definitely live in Sydney.

Dublin was really cool too, a lot of bars have great atmosphere there, and plenty of awesome restaurants.

I’ve been to Paris, London and Rome, but none of them stick out since that was when I was 16…I think Paris was my favorite.

I’m going to Europe this summer and my friends want to hit those 3 cities and Barcelona, which will be awesome.

Thinking about it, I really haven’t been to that many major domestic cities…I should remedy that. Pretty much Chicago, DC, and Vegas. All of which are pretty cool.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, is by far the most babe filled city I’ve been to, people are great, beaches are crazy (copacabana best nude beach in the world FTW). If you go during carnival time you can expect to have a great time. Too bad i was young when i went, i will be returning no doubt.

As far as in the united states, myrtle beach was pretty cool, full of good looking people, sun, alright beaches, lot of stuff to do and nice hotels.

i heard Rio is fucking crazy dude. i know some people in Recife, fucked up place dude. i heard you cant even answer a cell phone on a bus or youll get robbed. i was talking on the phone with this chick over there and heard some guy get shot outside the girls apartment. if i ever went to brazil id be trying to get as far from those shit holes as possible.
Well it really depends where you go in rio, and how stupid you look walking around the city. If you go to the slums then yea, it wont be the best experience of your life. Being as i looked local, and i was rather fluent in Portuguese, i had no problem blending in, like in a lot of other places i’ve been to , looking like a tourist is never good. Sao Pablo is also a beautiful city.

Punta del Este, Uruguay is also gorgeous, there was a runway show at the beach when i went there, hot woman to say the least.

Barcelona like mentioned above is also very nice, a lot of culture and shit.

Here in the U.S.:
1.New Orleans-There’s more to it then Mardi Gras and Bourbon street
2.Birmingham, Al- It’s where I live now and I really enjoy it
3.Lafayette,La-Cajun culture and Cajun women at it’s finest
4.Boston, Ma.-Enjoyed hanging out there, although the girl I went to visit loved it there till she moved there, then she hated it.
5.Philly, Pa- Always have had a good time in Philly
6.Houston,Tx- Always something to do and a varity of fine women.
7. Paso Robles, Ca-Beautiful scenery and plenty of winerys to try out

I haven’t been to to many places outside the U.S. but the view I’ve been to have been fun.
1.Matamoros, Mexico-
2.Beijing, China
3.Urumqi, China
Both Beijing and Urumqi have some of the friendlist people on the face of the planet.
4.Carolina, Puerto Rico-That was Ass Heaven

Why Minneapolis in the summer?
Year-round Mpls has tons of stuff to do indoors (theaters, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, museums, etc.), but in the summer everyone turns out and spends all their time outdoors. There are 5 lakes right in the city proper with beaches. There are walking and biking paths all over the city, and connecting all those lakes and Minnehaha Creek.

A short drive from downtown is Lake Minnetonka with all it’s party sandbars. There are also 66 state parks with awesome camping, hiking, boating, etc. If hunting and fishing is your thing that’s there too. A couple summers ago I was hosting an out-of-towner and we drove past one of the lakes.

Friend asks if there is a festival going on. No, that’s just what it’s like in the summer here. Our summer is so short that everyone celebrates it. There is a festival/blockparty somewhere around town just about every weekend.

Now, winter can be a bitch (we just wrapped up about 90 hours straight without positive temps), but there is still tons of skiing, ice fishing, snow mobiling, whatever you want.

Oh, and Minneapolis (and MN) are always near the top of all those lists like fittest places, best places to live, strongest economies, etc., etc.

Don’t get me wrong, I love visiting places with crazier energy (Vegas, NYC, LA, Boston, etc.), but I don’t think there’s a better place to be FROM.

Rome, London, Stockholm (during the summer, of course), Prague - all for what I think would be obvious reasons.

Kuala Lumpur because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the food.

Funny that so many people mention Vegas - grew up there. Used t0 adore it, but then too many damn people moved in.

I was in Seattle for the first time last August for work and had a good time overall. Coming from San Diego it took a couple days to get used to the 24/7 cloudiness, but when the sun would peak out I found myself appreciating it much more.

The ferry system was super easy, and downtown is cool. Didn’t realize that city was that old. I’d definintely go back there to visit and hang, for sure.

Other cities in the us I dig are:
Chicago
Baltimore
Vegas
Colorado Springs
Anchorage

Across the globe I’d say:
Osaka Japan
Perth Australia
Calgary
Seville Spain

Going to be in Vancouver for the Olympics and I can’t wait.

NYC
London
Paris
Dublin(i live there, love it)

Montreal
NYC
Paris

Austin

Denmark, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris, all of Italy, Mexico, Spain (Ibiza). I loved them all but if I had to pick one, I loved Ibiza. I am sure rolling X had something to do with it, but after 5 days and 20 pills later, my memories seem a little foggy.

since i pretty much live there, im curious what you guys like about Boston? its probaly a lot different to someone who didnt grow up here.
I did grow up in New England. I always thought Boston was elegant and beautiful for the reason that it is so rich with history. Half my family is from NY, but I strongly prefer Boston.

Edit, excepting politics and the Big Dig. But Bostonian thugs seem to be much more flavorful than NY thugs.
