Fat on Meat

does anyone know if the fat on like steak has protein in it. Because I hate the fat but if it has some protein I will eat it…

If it is the fat on the edge of the meat, then it does not contain protein. If it is the fatty part of the meat, then it may.

Yes, but unfortunately that protein is full of fat.

That’s not the problem, is mostly the carbs in the fat that makes it unsuitable for cutting. If you bulk that’s ok, I’d even skip the meat, just eat the protein/carb loaded fat.

Eat whatever taste good, just don’t waste the whole freakin steak.

Huh?

since when is protein and carbs in fat. you guys are ridiculous. Are you referring to the marbling?

Fat is made of guess what?

Yup! Fat! Imagine that!

Hahahahahahha. Yes, you raise a valid valid point. I’ll have to consider that when I’m on my next lard-cycle.

This is misinformation on a new and exciting FDA-esque level.

Perhaps if the cow you were eating had a chitinous exoskeleton, perhaps then I could see the soft gelatinous fat mistaken for the rock-hard shell of a mollusk.

Or are you suggesting that this particular cow died of severe hyperglycemia, and its meat has such high levels of glucose that its consumption would kick your body out of ketosis?

Or perhaps this particular cow is a PLANT, and you are mistaking the marbling of the meat for the stiff cellulose walls of the stalk.

There are no carbs in meat or fat! Fatty meats are the very definition of low-carb! A stupendously bad assumption has been made, and quashed.

The only stupendously bad assumption was on my part, thinking I could crack a joke to the amusement of the spirited minds on T-Nation…

And now that you quashed the carb in fat issue, how about addressing OP’s concern about protein in fat?
