Fat Burners for Teenagers

So my older brother randomly bought a few supplements from his friend cuz he thought thats how you get big lmao, and he ended up giving them to me cuz he has no drive to train. I noticed there was a fat burner called " Lipo 6 black ultra concentrate". Now i believe that fat burners are bullshit for the most part, but i checked out some reviews and stuff and everyone seems to report metabolism speeding up symptoms like more energy increased heart rate and stuff like that. Im trying to recomp right now and i dont wanna lower my calories to lose fat cuz im still 18 and i wanna grow good. But would you guys recommand using this stuff while recomping? It says not to be used for ppl under 21 on the package but idk.

If were you I would drop the snake oil gimmicks and educate yourself on eating and training properly. You seem to have very limited knowledge in these areas and that’s ok given your age.

Correct me if im wrong, calories is above all, take care of that then protein, eat enough fat to regulate hormones, eat carbs for energy. Consume enough fiber, fill micros as much as u can. Thats most there is isnt it. The speed of the metabolism however does play a role even if its smaller than these.

You don’t need a fat burner. Don’t do it.

Over-the-counter fat burners are mostly just expensive caffeine or some other mild stimulant. Yohimbine has the reputation of working pretty well (albeit rather subtly) but I’ve never used it.

The scary ones (that actually work) are all illegal and you don’t want to be messing around with that shit.

One time I stacked yohimbine, ephedrine, and caffeine and had ridiculously good results. I also drastically lowered my calories and increased my cardio from 0 minutes a week to 60 minutes a week. So I can’t say for sure if the yohimbine had that much of an effect because I basically threw every fat loss technique at the wall and hoped something would stick haha

I have a similar attitude when I cut weight. I’d rather have 8 weeks of misery than 6 months of moderation.

step 1 : grab the fatburner in your left hand
step 2 : open the garbage with your right hand
step 3 : put the fatburner in the garbage
step 4 : smile and don’t ever think back of using a fatburner

Let’s say the fat burner actually speeds your metabolism (which I doubt). What happens when you stop taking it? It would be much better to speed your metabolism up by eating several smaller meals and putting on more muscle. That can be sustained for a much longer time.

Totally unnecessary at your age, and big waste of money .

Saying that… as you have them now and for for free, take them before heavy sessions/legs etc as a preworkout to give you training a kick. Twice a week, no more -otherwise among other things can hit your adrenals hard and will radically up your caffeine tolerance which you don’t want. Up water intake also

Building new muscle ups the metabolism and at 18 will also shred fat so dont need to worry about that

Best fat burners are activity and test levels.

Those shouldn’t be a problem for any healthy 18 year olds.

This is a myth I hear all the time - it does nothing noticeable to your metabolism to eat smaller more frequent meals.

Maybe but as a guy who has done a lot of self experiments with my nutrition over the last 30 years it works for me. Now my 6 meals are 3 large and 3 small ones. This prevents me from being hungry in between meals so I am less likely to make bad choices. I’ve tried the 3 large ones and I couldn’t eat enough to get the calories in that I needed for the day.

Yeah I think you answered your own question. How does a “fat burner” help to create a caloric deficit?
