Fat Bottom Girls

Starting to think about my next comp in a couple of weeks (October 30th). It’s the provincials and would qualify me for the nationals for 2012. I started fiddling with some potential numbers and I feel pretty good about adding 40-50lbs to my last meet in June. My total was 280kg, I’m aiming for a solid 300kg. Not bad if you consider that for my first meet back in March I did a 260kg total.

I know very little about tattoos. I can`t decide if a background would make it too busy or if it would make it more complex and beautiful. That would be a tough decision for me.

Git - that’s exactly what I’m scared of. I want my dragon to pop out and shine, not be lost in a sea of graffiti. And chasing Maschy in my log for some pics is acceptable. You have my permission.

Maschy - I’m muling over some ideas but I won’t decide until next year. It’s taken me 10yrs to get this far. A slow process for artistry.

I’ve been on forced rest for the past 3 days due to the ink - today I was ready to rock it.

except my Mp3 player died on me.
And I forgot to have a decent lunch.

I decided to channel Oro and LWI. Also the beautiful sunshine gave me an extra boost.

Got to the gym…warmup:
foam roll
hams and calves stretch
prayer squat
retard frogs
bodyweight squats
shoulder dislocates

*my ramp up was faster as per Ink’s suggestion to just deal with it…

Squats
Bar x8
95 x5 - use of wrist wraps
115 x3
135 x3 - use of belt start 5 minute rest between sets.
155 x2
175 x2
195 x2 - rep PR +1. start 10 minute rest between sets
215 x1 - PR +5lbs
brief foam roll and stretch
225 x1!!! PR +15lbs. Felt a little high, ugly and unstable.

225 x1 hellz yeah. with better form and depth.

I’ve been chasing 225 for years!!! I did it without my music, and all my little brain tricks. That means I have more in me under better conditions. Planning to tripple it next workout.

I have checked a box from this year’s to do list, and checked a 5 yr goal. This smile should last me a few days :slight_smile:

Hell yeah on the squat PR. I got one today too but yours makes my 143lb effort seem a little sad. Still, a PR is a PR and it made me happy. Way to go, Frenchie.

Excellent work on the 225. Sometimes ‘not’ having your perfect setup lets you make the action more automatic and lets you simply execute vs. thinking about it and screwing it up. :slight_smile:
