The best thing about old man jokes, is you can keep telling the same one, since they’ll forget you made a joke about them 30 seconds after they’ve heard it!

Whassup Mainy?!! GET MOAR INK!

lol on the girl with the dragon tatoo - loved her kickass attitude, was def inspired by the character. That woman takes no prisoners.

Had a little wine at lunch and decided I needed an extra boost for tonight so tried a new pre-workout. All in all had a nice little buzz going on.

lower back and hamstrings were still fried from this week’s deads. Took a minute to foam roll before stretching. Did I ever mention how I love to see my quads and hammies splayed against the roller? they look massive. lol

Warm up then
Squats:
bar x8
95x3
115x3
135x3
155x3
185x2
205x2
225lbs 2x1 - wasn’t happy with form, totally quarter squated my first run.
225 -nil on third.
185x4
155x8 - lost my balance and was about to call it quits after 3 but I was like “fuck this shit I can rep this baby”. I got a solid stance, big breath and dove for 5 more reps. Managed to reach the zone. Had to stop cause I was running out of breath, not strength.

All in all happy with the results, haven’t squated above 185 since I got hurt mid-october so I know I just need to get used to the weight again and not let it fuck with my head. The fact that I could easily rep the 185 to depth proves it.

I must have seriously looked like a crazed women 'cause out of the corner of my eye I saw a couple of guys “running” to my rescue a few time. On the 2nd 205 I was slow to come up, but I growled and thrusted those hips and popped up. On the 225xnil I simply dropped it on the safeties - no harm. And again when I lost my balance on the 155 I just swore pushed up, regain my balance and went down for more.

deal with it right?

Hallowed by any chance are you Slavic/part Slavic?[/quote]

Nope. What you’re seeing is Italian. I’m 1/4 Sicilian and 1/4 (blonde blue eyed alps type) Northern Italian. I get accused of being Russian ALL THE TIME. But ONLY since I’ve gotten muscular! ha. Its like I look velly mean and scary and now I must be Russian!

Nice work on the squats  You’ll have your groove back in no time!

My calendar arrived!!! Yay! Thanks

Nice squats way to not let the weights win

Oh yes! How I love it when you get into your groove. You, my dear, are everything that embodies a powerful woman!

Great squatting! Its only up from here, girl.

Keep killing it, our gorgeous Frenchie with the dragon tattoo. Bonne fete!

and Edgy - I did shake my money maker. We had our work x-mas party last night and I was wearing my little sparkly number all 165lbs of me. Probably looked as though my ass was part of the lighting effects. lol!! Disco Ball Frenchie turning the dance floor ON!

This is totally my NYE plan, I want a super glitter dress. I’ve been eyeing this one.

I loved reading about your squat training. That was badass, and I salute you!

Love the squat story. Is your squat set up half as impressive as your DL set up?

I can always “feel” your energy when you talk, you are a powerful woman, i agree Mash!!

Yeah, I like the squat story very much. I’m not doing so well on the squats right now - I keep getting this woozy feeling and have to stop as I feel like I’m going to fall down. Perhaps I should just push through as you did.

Hallowed - I get the Eastern European thing too. I have yellow-toned skin (rather than English rose) and Slavic cheekbones - thing is I’m about as English as it’s possible to be. If there’s anything else in there, it’s pre-19th century. Perhaps there’s some Ancient Roman DNA in my lineage. Who knows?

Peaches - do it!! If all over glitter overwhelms you add a little jacket. That’s what I did for cocktail and supper. Once supper was done I removed it for the dance floor.

Cal - only push through if you have safeties. and then again I don’t get woozy, I’m not sure how safe that would be.

Thanks to all my cheerleaders  Hope you are having some fabulous holidays.
I hosted a wonderful little supper yesterday. Had my table set up complete with fresh flowers and candlebra. Served homemade butternut squash and pineapple potage, rabbit provencal and roasted veggies. It was a nice little feast. My brother and his wife brought homemade strawberry rhubarb pie (the bestest!) and a divine chocolate mousse cake. As hostess I was too busy to take any pictures and my poor cookie face was dealing with a double ear and throat infection. Her face looked like she’d been beat with a stick due to the congestion, but she was such a trooper.

May 2012 bring you all the best, nothing you can’t handle and a big handful of suprises.
Cheers
Frenchie

Great, and now I’m hungry. Damn it.

Awww sank you for the New Year’s wishes Gorl.

I predict 2012 shall be EPIC!
