Notes: Squats felt great today, I felt like I could have gotten 5 on both sets of 540 but had to remind myself …“CHASE PERFORMANCE NOT FATIGUE”-CT
Also as far as diet I’ve always eyeballed portions never weighed it, well today I did- breakfast= 1 pound of potatoes diced and fried in grape seed oil with 3 over easy eggs and cheese grated over it and a big glass of water. Lunch=3/4 pound white rice with 3/4 pounds of ground beef and 1/4 steamed green beans. Dinner= 2 1/2 pounds homemade turkey potpie.Plus right before bed I’ll have a homemade shake=18 raw whole eggs,1 banana,1 cup pineapple juice. HOLIE CONOLIE! I knew I ate alot but…DAMN! But hey its working, I’m consistently getting stronger putting on muscle mass and can still see top 2 abs…so staying relatively lean, what more could I ask for right?
Hey Farmer, just skimmed your log. I love your homemade equipment. You’re a creative guy and obviously a skilled mechanic. Nice progress on your strength. Your mom and grandma are lucky to have you caring for them.
I’m curious about your homemade straps, Farmer.
Do you have picture? and maybe a how-to? I just want to get an idea of how complicated it would be to make my own.

Back story: I started lifting because i needed to be able to lift my mom and grandma in and out of bed, the car ect.( my mom had a stroke and is paralyzed on her left side and my grandma has Alzheimers and Parkinsons) But now its become so much more for me, its an outlet for the unbridled rage i always feel everyday, dont get me wrong im blessed to have them and I thank God im able to take care of them. I love lifting what some people think is immovable because it the physical manifestation of my desire to move the immovable objects in my life!

Thanks LiftingStrumpet you’ve done some good work youself, I must confess I’ve followed your log since you started in powerful women. As far as skilled mechanic not by a long shot I am really creative and skilled in a jimmy rig/Mcgyver way though lol, its amazing what farm life will teach you.

Totally, I’ll get a vid up showing them. It was really simple, I took some old shirts of mine cut them into strips of about 6 inch width fold each strip in half, strip length is up to you I made mine long about 2 1/2 feet to give me plenty of room to cinch and tie them. You’ll use 2 strips per leg, so you’ll need 4 strips total.
