Full snatch…hum…must a term from Wales…but it does sound good,

Maybe the three singles at 462 sacked your energy a bit? 500 is big doings young man…you’ll get it soon enough![/quote]

x2 I think the three singles might have burned you more than you think.

It definitely feels like it’s scar tissue binding or something and that it just needs a good “rip” to sort it.

hmm. could you maybe give it a little teeny tiny stretching kind of a pull… then roll it gently for a few days to help promote good healing… and see if that helps? i wonder sometimes whether stretching / self release is quite a lot like strength training more generally. in the sense that you overwork things a little then let them recover stronger, then kind of repeat that. and you need to be careful not to really overdo things so you trash yourself / not recover stronger / rip yourself an injury.

but i don’t know. i got stuck into my calves a bit harder after you mentioned your bruising. it did take me about a week to recover from that effort. but i don’t seem to have a daily knots that i used to. so maybe sometimes you do gotta go a bit hard, after all.

fingers crossed that things feel alright for you after snatches.

i’ve weirdly discovered that self releasing my triceps is getting rid of my elbow pain.

It’s not his six pack, its his entire body. Nothing on it is proportional. Kinda like the guy at the gym that only does curls. Big biceps, but small shoulders, chest back, legs and everything else.

You’re right UN, he looks like he does nothing but ab exercises.

The fact you got 500 off the ground is damn strong. You’ll get it soon.

And WTF is up with that guys abs. That has to be implants.

yes, it has been my goal to reach 500lbs for pulling. Another day.

The man in the picture has rather slender arms but I barrel like torso, so I will also guess it is bogus.

There is a plastic surgery that sucks out the fat around the outline of the abs. I bet that dude had it.

whatever that dude has done he just looks wrong.

my guess is implants.

or he’s got some serious bloating issues. something wrong with the GI tract or something. worms??

nice attempt, plenty of strength, you will get it

and that picture is freaking me out. what is the guys name? I need to see more pics

^^^^This is exactly what I’m thinking, but I wouldn’t know where to start. I can’t even get a good stretch in my shoulder. They are awkward things to stretch. I can locate it (the sore bit) with my fingers, it’s in the gap between the anterior delt and medial delt, close to the bicep. But kneading it a bit with my fingertips is the limit of my healing knowledge LOL. I’d definitely have a go if I could find the appropriate stretch.

Bulldog, Kp, Matty, dday, pete - Thanks guys (and lady). Hope you’re right.

Joe, OG - Yeah, I didn’t intend to have the cracks at 500+, but when the 462 went up fairly easy I thought I’d have a go. Hindsight says I should have gone for it after the first single, but I’ll get it one day.

Alexus - Shoulder seems fine with the snatches so far. Touch wood.

As far as the abs guy goes, his name is Darryn Lyons and apparently he is a “famous” paparazzo(?) I’d never heard of him.

He’s admitted that he got his abs from having body contouring (liposuction), but I think there’s some implants in there too because his abs are just too neat looking and they seem to go much further around the sides than real abs would.

The funny thing is he’s only done his front, he has no definition whatsoever in his back, it looks like a side of bacon! It just makes him look even odder that from the back he looks like a bloater, but from the front he’s ripped.

Like most plastic surgery these days it ends up making you look like a freak.

so messed up:

Overhead Squats
Bar x 8-8

Snatch 8 singles x 132 lbs

Squat w/u to 3 singles x 407 lbs (failed on 4th)

GHR 3 x 5 x bodyweight

Ab Rollouts (off knees) x 10-10-10

Had ZERO intensity today. Had 3 days off, should have been raring to go, but it was a waste of time getting changed frankly.

This whole house selling business is really taking it’s toll on my sanity. Nearly 10 weeks gone now, accrued hundreds of pounds in solicitors bills and still no signature yet. Why on earth does it have to take so friggin’ long? (of course our solicitor’s 2 week holiday had to fall within our sale) and because of the ridiculous English system they could still pull out now without having to give a reason and leave us with all the costs!

The solicitor says we should be able to exchange contracts any day now, but he’s been saying that for two weeks.

Living in limbo is really tough, not being able to plan anything or start packing or know where you’ll be in 3 weeks time is very stressful. Still as soon as they sign that will all disappear and be replaced with unbridled PANIC!

Didn’t do my usual push ups after legs because I’m going to go for a bench PR attempt on Wednesday.

The ab guy is odd. But still not as messed up as this guy.

sometimes the best you can do is the work.

That sucks Brett, selling a house is always stressful. Hopefully everything will be over soon.

Good luck on the house sale!

Hang in there Brett, the whole process of selling or buying a house is such an exercise in patience and sanity but you will make it ok. Hopefully you can try to use the lifting as an escape.

We are selling a second house to settle my fatehr in laws estae and so I can understand your frustration.

keep on truckin’ Brett, gotta have a “what will be, will be” attitude on that kind of house sale.
