Just made my first trade of the year and I’m happy.
Give:
Earnest Graham
S. Holmes
Get:
M. Lynch
A. Gonzalez
I think I made out like a bandit on this one.
I’d do this trade in a heartbeat (cuz Graham is gonna fall apart eventually right?) but sooner or later Holmes is gonna break out and be a monster.
(29) LenDale White RB
(32) Earnest Graham RB
(49) Matt Hasselbeck QB
(52) Roy Williams WR
(69) Reggie Williams WR
(72) Nate Burleson WR
(89) Joey Galloway WR
(92) Laveranues Coles WR
(109) Kurt Warner QB
(112) Heath Miller TE
(129) Bobby Engram WR
(132) Donald Lee TE
(149) Jeff Reed K
(152) Seattle DEF
(169) Kevin Jones RB
(172) Philadelphia DEF
Any reason why you picked McFadden in the first round?
I think he’s going to be the main producer on a team that has lost a couple of receivers. he may have a slow start, but I think he’ll put up rookie of the year numbers, and that can only be good for me.

Can’t argue with that. I hope he produces too, I drafted him also. I think he’ll start slow but should take over by midseason. He does have to compete with Justin Fargas who isn’t a complete tool of a RB.

Dre - I would like your trade a whole lot more if LT-Jason Peters wasn’t still holding out.
Yeah, I hear ya on that one. And it’s not looking good either.
John Clayton of ESPN reports that Jason Peters is not close to ending his holdout and hasn’t talked to the Bills for a month.
Peters has three years remaining on his contract, but isn’t happy with his $3.5 million salary.
Once the holdout extends into the season, Peters will be fined $15,000 per day and forfeit his weekly game checks, so the money is going to add up in a hurry.
But I still think Lynch is going to put up better numbers than Graham this year.
Driver is the safer play simply because GB isn’t likely to have much success running on MIN (no one does).
Now I do like DeSean Jackson (from my alma mater) and hope he’ll be a playmaker at the NFL level. But he’s still a rookie WR playing in his first NFL game.

What’s everyone think of DeSean Jackson?
Word is the kid’s gonna be top dog in Philly, and I don’t know if I should start him this week over Driver.
Why would you even consider doing this? Driver is the proven No. 1 receiver on the Packers. And with Rodgers getting his first ever start you know he’s going to lock in on the most dependable receiver on the Packers. Which is Driver.
DeSean is a rookie who had a good preseason. But we all know that preseason means absolutely dick.
If you start DeSean over Driver you forfeit all rights to give advice for the rest of the fantasy season! haha

Haha fair enough. But I think this Jackson kid is gold… and I don’t have room for him elsewhere, as I’ve got Holt and Burrelson starting at the other spots… all #1’s.
Burrleson I don’t have a lot of faith in, but I know how Hasselback throws, and he’s been getting better I’ve heard.
I’m not sure. Burrleson may get the boot from the starting lineup, but as someone else said, Jackson is still a rookie. But he’s a damn good one.

I would, it’s still a little early for me to have faith in the Rogers to Driver situation in Greenbay. Besides, the Rams D is pretty much a joke so Jackson should have a great showing.

I agree, DeSean lit it up and Reid seems to like him. I heard the he was the first rookie Reid ever sat for the 4th preseason game. So, he must figure to be a good part of their offense.
Burleson is a tease. He’ll show you that he can play the game and then all of a sudden disappear. I don’t get it. But with just all their WRs in Seattle hurt, someone has to catch passes and that someone is either Burleson or Courtney Taylor.

Really? I can’t believe someone would go with a rookie over a veteran. That’s just silly… silly I tells ya!
Minnesota ranked dead last against the pass last year while St. Louis ranked 21st. You gotta go with Driver.

True, but you have Rogers tossing balls and basically he isn’t battle tested…besides there is usually 2-3 rooks at WR who make an impact early, (i.e. Colston, Baskett, ect).
Not to metion STL has done nothing to bolster its secondary, and no one is scared of Hill and Brown at the corners, while MIN will likely match up Griffin on Driver, with Sharper for secondary support…so to me that SCREAMS start Jackson.

I completely disagree with the notion that Rodgers isn’t “battle tested” yet. The dude did step in and play meaningful minutes in one game last year, going 18-26, 201yds, 1TD, no picks. Not exactly garbage time stats either, since it happened @DAL in Week 13.
Granted it was only one game, but numbers like that don’t happen by accident.
qb- peyton manning, kurt warner
rb- clinton portis, brandon jacobs, kevin smith
wr- larry fitzgerald, anquan boldin, jericho cotchery
te- owen daniels, lj smith
k- ryan longwell
d- bears, browns
and call me crazy, but i’m starting warner vs. the 49ers over manning vs. the bears
