My kid will still hear the crap on that show with out watching it. It called social moral. Social moral keeps dwendeling and soon you will think its ok to watch porn in front of your five year old son.
Family Guy = Porn?
Cool story bro.
If you’re so concerned, home school your kids and don’t let them socialize. Sure that’ll screw them up, but it also means they’ll be less likely to breed and spread your genetic code.
Seriously, you should not be a parent if your child’s friends have such a powerful influence on them.
or move to a town where the “social moral” is much like yours a place like Colorado city.
where everyone thinks alike and they will protect your children from the outside world.
blasphemy
Main Entry: blas·phe·my
Pronunciation: \Ë?blas-fÉ?-mÄ?\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural blas·phe·mies
Date: 13th century
1 a: the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God b: the act of claiming the attributes of deity
2: irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable
Yes, it’s blasphemy, in a technical sense.
We used to watch Family Guy and we’re Christians. The jokes directed against God or Christians seemed to be more about slamming Christianity versus making a joke. Throw in the lefty political skew and the non-funniness of it and I won’t watch it any more.
That being said, I watch South Park all the time. They do some of the same type of stuff, but it has different tone and doesn’t come across mean spirited. The Hare Club for Men was some funny stuff.
i hope this hasent been posted, came across it trying to watch the show.reAlly puts the fun into fundamentalism.i just love the please pray before watching.in other reviews on d site its nt just children dat have toleave d room, its women too!

sacriligeous is our society today. take a look around man, there isnt much that doesnt go against God these days. actually, there’s never been a pure religious time in human history. There’s always gonna be deviance.
I know i’ll get flamed for saying this but America doesnt take religion as serious as the mddle east so thats why Family Guy can get away with it. the creators of family giy know that and thats why the dont go after Allah. There would be big problems if Allah or Mohamed were to show on family guy.
I’m sorry to hijack. But wasn’t there a Southpark episode where the plot was that Cartman was trying to get to Hollywood to stop Family Guy from showing a religious Islamic figure?
No, you’re apparently quite stupid. Check your grammar fuckwad.
I know your type, though - the overprotecting parent, I’m sure. It’s funny - all of my friends who were raised in that type of household are far less responsible and practical when it comes to social behavior these days. Years of restraints and censorship are going to do nothing but force your kid to want to rebel.
Why the fuck do people feel the need to protect EVERYTHING from their kids?

And if you’re truly comparing Family Guy and porn (you are, don’t try to get out of this,) then you’re probably the biggiest moron I’ve ever encountered.
And by the way, just to save you from typing, no one really cares what you think, so don’t bother replying.
I like family guy, its not exactly highbrow entertainment but it tends to make me laugh at least a few times while its on. While “jokes” at religion will always offend, regardless of what you do someone will get offended.
As for your kids hearing things from other kids that you don’t really want them to hear, welcome to how the world works. I’m pretty sure my parents would love to strangle the kid who was directly involved at getting me drunk at age 13, or the friend who’s parents let a bunch of 14 year olds watch apocalypse now and Full Metal jacket.
If its not family guy its going to be something else. There are tons of things I would want to keep kids away from from a pure sex/violence/crazyness perspective, religion would be one of them. There are a lot of things in the Bible I wouldn’t want kids to hear, like Cain killing Abel, adultery, Abraham and Isak and so on. Please have some oversight to the fact that I may have spelled some names wrong due to never having read an English Bible.
You are being very selective I want to add, I mean there are a lot of comments made every day that could be taken as blasphemy. Then there are the countless bad influences your children can see on the news every night. This might just be me but it seems like the news has gone from actual news to a highlight reel of murder, mayhem and massacres followed by the winners of dancing with the stars.
Thought I should chime in. As for Family Guy making fun of Islam, Allah etc, While you would think it’s ok to do because we live here in America it’s just not the way it works. Don’t any of you guys remember a few years back in I belive the Netherlands the riots and death threats leveled at a cartoonist for depicting Mohhammed in drawing. Or when the Ayatollah called for a Fatwa ie; guilt free death sentance on author Salman Rushdie for his book. The point I’m trying to make is this, while christian groups will complain and moan about shows like FG and South Park they really don’t do much. If however someone really offends the Islamic world especially in regards to their beliefs, or holy book/men they lose thier damn minds and actually do something about it.

OR we can keep laughing at it. Sure, your posture may not be as good as it is now if you pull the stick half way out your ass, but your taste might surely improve.

that show was one of the funniest shows ever when it came out, and it’s still pretty damn funny. How someone could watch that show and not laugh, I’ll never understand.
anyway, i think family guy isnt even funny. its just spastic random stuff over a 30 minute block. if they could stay on a tangent for more than 5 seconds it might be good but then it wouldnt be family guy.

Yes there was an episode of South Park like that. It was after the whole Denmark comic strip thing where they portrayed Mohammed with a bomb in his turban. South Park aired an episode where Family Guy was going to air Mohammed with a fish on his head, then when it got time to show Mohammed a blank screen came up saying that the people of Comedy Central were not going to allow them to show Mohammed and then South Park went on to say that Comedy Central higher ups were pussies.
People want to take make fun of Islam, it’s just that a minority of its’ followers are willing to go to extremes and riot and cause harm if a word or picture is deemed offensive. So rather than deal with the whole shit storm of making fun of Islam they side step them and move towards making fun of those religions that won’t go to those extremes.

Blasphemy will follow suite
I onderstand that and I think family guy is funny, but i think if they make fun of one they should make fun of all. Why should we laugh when people make fun of Jesus yet get all bent out of shape when a soldier pisses on the Quran or whatever he did to it just to make the people, who by the way are supposed to be our enemies, happy?

Is it me or does Family Guy seem sacriligeous? Like when they portray God in bed with a woman or Jesus as a bumbling oaf? I think God and Jesus should be off limits, because its mighty funny how they dont make fun of allah or muhammad?
