That’s the Ukrainian nationals? If that’s an official competition and it’s really 240, that’s a world record for the weight class. How come none of the world record lists have that lift on them? I think that Torokhtiy was overweight when he did that lift. 240 is less impressive at 105+ (although it’s still pretty good).
In any case, Klokov has hit 232 in competition and hit 225 recently in training (coming back from injury). He may not be the strongest guy in his class, but he’s close. I know everyone on the internet can deadlift 1000 and lock out 600 overhead, but in real life he’s still very elite. [/quote]
