Besides drinking lots of water and getting more sleep are there good ways to reduce the size of eyebags and swelling under the eyes?? I have not been getting enough sleep recently as a result of being a very active student athlete… Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-M
Edit: Here is a list of the responses I have received as means of treating puffiness and darkness around the eyes. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
-Eye Gel - Beauticontrol
-Ice packs before bed and in the morning
-Iced tea bags
-Revitalizing Eye Cream Q10 by Nivea
-Preperation H
-Caffeine and vitamin c undereye cream sold by Loreal
-Cool your ring fingers against an icy water bottle/glass of beverage, then gently pat under the eyes with your cool, slightly damp fingers, throughout the day, being sure not to stretch the undereye skin. This helps move some of the fluids out of the area.
-If you have sinusitis, this could also cause some periorbital puffiness or bags under the eyes and some great over the counter sinus medicines would really help.
Lol, this WAS my way of asking a woman, or anyone who would know. I don’t think im faulted for not wanting to look like shit at school. It’s why I shower and shave.
Heres the story, my wife is a consultant for Beauticontrol, a skincare and makeup company, similar to Mary Kay, Avon, etc.
They make a mens line, face scrub, shaving gel, some all in one shampoo-body wash that works damn well, and eye gel.
I get huge bags under my eyes if I don’t get enough sleep, so she got me gel to try. It works. Makes you go from looking like Billy Joel or a basset hound to a human again.
Sorry for the shamelss plug for my wife, and I’m sure theres other companies making a similar product, but I can vouch this one.

Ice pack on the eyes just before bed & first thing in the morning will help alot. There’s some excellent eye creams out there too. More sleep, great diet, a few supps-vitamins.
Check out Van-Gundy the NBA coach for the Rockets!!! Holy shit! Major eye bags!!! Very scary!

I use Revitalizing Eye Cream Q10 by Nivea. It works pretty well, reduces puffness. It does seem like a lot of dough for it, about $10 for a little bottle. But compared to the womens stuff, its cheap. If it were to turn into women’s, it would jump to being $25.
Say what you will, but trust me when I say that having bags under your eyes doesn’t help the career. Who’s gonna hire someone that looks like they’re half asleep, stoned, or drunk? Unless that’s your business, it aint gonna happen.
Its not about being metro or not, its about putting your best face first. Lifting is partly cosmetic as well but you dont hear that called girlie.

iced tea bags work too. [/quote]
Now Renn, why did you have to go and bring teabagging into this??
There’s a great caffeine and vitamin c undereye cream sold by Loreal that’s inexpensive…made for dark circles but also works wonders for puffiness. You put it on at bedtime. I work night shifts and often a ton of overtime, and I swear by this. I’ll use it when I’m getting a bit overworked/underrested and start to get dark circles/puffiness. It’s also helpful to cool your ring fingers against an icy water bottle/glass of beverage, then gently pat under the eyes with your cool, slightly damp fingers, throughout the day, being sure not to stretch the undereye skin. This helps move some of the fluids out of the area. Also cool compresses help, as well as elevating your head on pillows when you sleep. Also stay away from high sodium diets (beef jerky, MSG, etc…) and drink lots of water. If you have sinusitis, this could also cause some periorbital puffiness or bags under the eyes and some great over the counter sinus medicines would really help.
Sorry if this is too Estrogenic for you guys, but this really helps!!
