Excessive or Well Deserved?

I don’t want a society where people can come to where I work and pick a fight, and I get jailed for cracking their sculls. I’ve been involved in knife fights where I work, fist fights and so on have happened several times. It’s easy to sit in judgement after the fact, but quite something else when you are in the middle of it.

You can try to justify it all you want. Fact is, law says you have to keep your head. If you can’t, find another job.

I once read a line (I believe from Marc Macyoung but I don’t recall) where he said that the baddest dudes he knew were either dead or in jail.

Go split some “sculls” though hardass. See how far that shit gets you.

Oh snap, I misspelled skulls.

I cut away the rest of your blubbering, as this seems to be what you are taking issue with.

The answer is yes, basically. If you hit me, there should be no law that keeps me from hitting you back twice as hard, and keep hitting you until you are out cold.

If you have two attackers and you got both of them on the ground, it would be downright foolish to let them regain their footing and keep it up. If I have the option to flee, then fine, I will take it.
And where do we draw the line? Who decides what constitutes an assault and what does not? If some guy gets in my face at a bar, am I allowed to break a bottle and gash his throat because I “feared for my life”? Letting him live would have been downright foolish, right?
What’s “gets in your face?” If the guy attacked you, then have at it.

Wait, I thought the beat down was justified because you wouldn’t be thinking straight but now you’re saying it’s because it’s what you want to do and you’re able to evaluate what is and isn’t foolish and make a good decision. Which is it? Heat of the moment or a good idea?
The initial retribution for being slapped in the face would be what I’d call heat of the moment.

As for the second bit, not letting two people who are chasing you a chance to get back up and keep at it: good idea.

Btw we saved a guys life in that knife fight. Not that the cunt deserved it, he started the whole thing. Ironically enough by slapping the smaller dude. lol

I see you put all your intellectual might behind that response. Thanks for the thoughtful answer. Probably explains why you work somewhere where there is allegedly knife fights and other such chicanery.

Two unarmed women.
Down.

“Testosterone” Nation my ass. More like Estrogen World.
Well I should have said “knife fight.” It’s not like they were a daily occurrence. lol

Anyway, two unarmed women or men or whatever it was, I don’t care. I care nothing for what happens to them after they jump that counter. To answer the OP: well deserved.

You sir, are brilliant.

"Video of the incident, which rapidly spread online, was played in court, but the excerpt did not include the moment as the women jumped over the counter. Prosecutors blamed the missing footage on a glitch in the recording. " http://www.dnainfo.com

This is so wrong, they edited the video they would show up in court, so the two ladies going over the counter and physically assaulting the cashier is not shown. Bad luck for this guy.

Prosecution and defense arguments going as I predicted. Seems NY law requires them to seek an indictment within 5 days so we’ll see how it goes for him.

Man, those glitches sure do pop up at the strangest times.

Seems she is seriously injured.

Still think the cashier acted “reasonably”?

They sure do! But if the glitches were known then how can they still consider it evidence?

No nefarious conspiracy. The Court knows what happened.

The only issue was whether they had enough evidence to proceed. They do, whether part of the tape or the entire tape was played. Judge as not throwing the case out. This was just a preliminary hearing.

The whole thing turns on “reasonable”.

State will argue after they are down, his actions constituted assault.

Defense is going to argue self-defense the entire way and that he did not know whether they had a weapon.

By the way, she not only has a fracture skull, but she has a serious skull wound where her skull is actually CAVED IN.

Still think this guy acted “reasonably” to the threat?

Motherfucker going to jail. And he belongs there.

Those bitches belong there too. But she didn’t deserve to be possibly brain damaged behind this shit.

It says she has memory loss. That is all it says.

Bodyguard, we get it. I think we all know where you stand on this.

You also need to realize that not all of us feel sorry for this woman.

If I chase someone down to beat them, I accept the possible consequences.

I dunno about the USA but in my country the kind of behavior this two females showed can and will get you shot no matter what. I think they were lucky they are still alive. I don’t know in what kind of society (specially US that loves war) a guy is prosecuted for defending himself. He is an excon YES he made a mitake and he already PAYED for it, and unlike most excons he es trying to earn a living honestly, it dosenÃ??Ã?´t matter if you are Bill Gates or a Mcdonalds employee, honest job is honest job, and that deserves respect. The moment you assume other people have no rights, you are losing your own, even if the consecuences of you being stupid and acting like a criminal gives you brain damage (which judging by this women behavior is not a great loss to humanity)

No he did overreact and will most likely end up back in prison.

That link is all kinds of fucked up though. It is the mother stating she is seriously injured, not a doctor and she is probably looking for a payout.

If this is your “average” 24 year old more of them need to be beaten out of the food chain. Like everyone here I have done stupid shit, and am probably lucky to be alive. However if I had pulled some shit like that my parents response would have been “man did you fuck up dumbass”, not “how can we make someone pay for your mistake”.

Again, I believe he went too far, but we don’t know if they were getting back up. Anyone who has watched a horror flick knows you don’t let them back up.

Yep.

That article said she has memory loss. It didn’t say anything else from a medical perspective. The fact that they are now blaming Mc Donald’s means they are looking to get PAID.

So let’s review…crazy heifers try to STEAL MONEY FROM MC DONALDS USING COUNTERFEIT MONEY and attack broke ass cashier who has past criminal history and conviction. He beats their ass. The mother of the girl now states that she is a normal 24 year old and that Mc Donald’s is to blame. They ignore the ATTACK and the ATTEMPTED COUNTERFEIT EXCHANGE in media and in court.

Honestly, no, I don’t agree with that.

This will likely work out in favor of the very people who started this shit.

Anyone applauding that is missing something.
