Ex Smokers

you can not turn back now or else you just wasted the last 3 weeks of hard work.i quit 15 yrs ago stay strong.

4 weeks down.im pleased to say I already have seen a great increase in my wind.It does not take long to see a difference.

you got her licked now .

smoking is 30% chemical addiction…70% habit

the chemical aspect of the problem is in the past ; all you got left is the “habit” . it’s all you and your brain now !

show those pricks at RJ Reynolds what you’re made of !!!

I hear about smokers gaining weight when they quit. I’m 18 and I’ve smoked for 3 years. If I quit, is it possible for me to gain muscle mass instead of gaining fat like most people seem to? I’m 185 lbs. 5’11" and around 10 percent BF. Sorry to get slightly off topic, I’m curious.

if you lift heavy shit…of course .

if you sit on the couch while shoveling in Doritos by the bag-full…probably not so much

Ive lost 4 lbs since I quit .In my case I got my eating problems (and boy did I have them)under control before I attempted to quit .For me it was the last part.

I suggest you get a good grip on your diet and eat very clean before you try to stop so that your eating habits are well established and you will be less tempted to substitute with food .good luck.

hi
was reading through all this and i am 47. quit a pack a day habit 2 years ago this month. have gained 20lbs. not happy about that and am determined to beat that one as well.

i live in the UK and with the equivalant of $9.00 a pack i have saved a TON of money! enough to pay for our family holiday skiing in France. keep your eye on the prize!
