Ever Met a Celebrity Who Was a C**t?

Steve-O : I was taking a flight from LA to Miami. Sat down next to a guy that I thought looked very familiar. Cool guy to talk to, and was reading a book called “The Power of Now”. Told me a lot of cool things, and we had a good conversation about good books and movies. I pulled out my laptop and we started talking about computers. He tells me how he was able to get his macbook with an employee discount from Steve Wozniak himself, the #2 guy at Apple. I ask him how did you happen to meet a guy like that and get a deal from him. He says, “A while back, I met him on a show called Dancing With the Stars.” I’m like “woah, that is a pretty huge deal. You know, you look really familiar, whats your name?” “Oh, my name is Steve…I also go by Steve-O.” My jaw drops, and I’m thinking “holy shit, what are the chances?”

I ask him about some Jackass stuff and how he's been doing since those days. He says hes doing much better. Apparently, he's been completely clean and drug free for a year, and really gotten into spirituality and finding himself, a total 180 from what I would've expected. He says hes trying to get a book out right now, and gives me a little preview about it by handing me a packet that hes sending to publishers to try and get it published. It was pretty damn good if I say so myself. He says he's gonna start writing some excerpts for the book write now, pulls out his macbook, and starts typing! I started watching a movie, and every now and then, he'd ask me to look over and see what I thought about what he was writing. I later ask him if I could get a picture with him, and he's like "yea of ourse man, I love that shit!" He grabs my camera and takes 2 pics himself. This guy was cool on TV, but in person he's awesome.

Nice story man. He always seemed like a cool guy.

Paul geomauti. Or how ever you spell it. met him in the SLC international airport. He just stared at me like he was the one who was starstruk. I said hi and then walked to my table. He sat 1 table away from me and i had a shallow " i liked you in shoot em up" he said thanks and it was over as fast as it started. He looked like hell, i suppose this was an attempt at not being noticed.

During the early 1980’s l worked in an unemployment office in London in the job search section. My working buddy was Dennis Nilson a Scot from Peterhead area. Big quiet shy type. We had a couple of beers together during the period l worked there. Even went on a trip with him for work purposes but someone else shared the accommodation with him. In 1983 l had a knock at the door at 2am and was asked in for questioning to the local police station.

Grilled for three hours on my relationship with Donald. He had been arrested that day on suspicion of murder and my name was prominent in his diary… He became Britain’s biggest serial killer at that time. Still shudder to think how close l was to someone like that. Although honestly he wouldn’t scare a fly.

Dennis or Donald?

Not really a bad experience but I got to go to a meet and greet with the Tragically Hip, and you could tell the lead singer Gordon Downie thought he was the shit. Just kind of stood to the side like he was royalty. The rest of the band were very down to earth, talking hockey and such, too bad they were leafs fans.

Had Gordie Howe sit at our table in his restaurant in Traverse city. Very nice guy with huge hands.

My buddy was in a beer league with Joey Kocer and went out for beers with him after a game. Another very down to earth guy. As someone else said about Stevie Y, hockey players seem to make the best celebs.

Had beers with Drew Abbot of Bob Segers Silver bullet band. Another humble guy.

Met Billy Bob Thornton in an elevator in Detroit at the 2005 MLB all star game. He was staying on the same floor as us. Rode it down to the lobby in total silence and he just turned around, signed this sticker that was on the elevator wall and walked out. I ripped it down real quick. The next day my dad said he saw him pounding beers in the Hotel bar that night by himself.

Met chris webber at the all star celebrity game that year. He came up to us, asked us where we were from and signed his batting glove and gave it to us…and off topic as im typing the twins just won and are about to play my Yankees in the Alds… good luck

Michael Jordan - I’ve seen him out at bars/clubs on a couple occasions. He was completely chill as long as people weren’t acting like idiots around him. He is ususally surrounded by a group of 10-12 ferocious looking middle aged black women. They seem to keep people away from him better than any bodyguard I’ve ever seen.

So he shouldn’t be in this thread unless you act like a dumbass around him.

That’s the problem…everyone who walks up to a celebrity and talks to them thinks they have something worthwhile to say…

Just to back track, OP, someone not tipping you means you are shit at your job.

That’s not necessarily true, especially with celebs/athletes, and some of them are upfront about it(Roy Williams the now Cowboy actually said on a radio show once that when he orders a pizza for delivery he would say something to the dude then shut the door, apparently him speaking was the tip).

Back in the day, I got backstage for a pre-concert meet and greet with Blink 182 before their show with Green Day in San Antonio. I only got to meet Mark and Tom; Travis was behind the restricted area. I think that’s kind of dickish, but whatever. Tom and Mark were pretty cool. They signed my CDs. Both were tall motherfuckers, though. Like maybe 6’4"? Mark was flirting with my girlfriend at the time, which I thought was pretty sweet.

When I was in law school at Nebraska, Tommy Lee was filming his show where he goes back to school. I remember they locked the reading room at the law library because Tommy Lee was taking his final for a class.

Also, I got to meet and talk to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but I doubt anyone on here knows who she is.

In Atlanta. September 26, 2009. I was at the Four Seasons after a buddy’s wedding. The father of the bride asks me if I want to meet Cal Ripken Jr. He was in the bar, which the wedding party had completely taken over. He was really cool. Shook my hand and we talked for a few minutes. The father of the bride took care of his tab for the night.

Clarence Thomas. Every two years he teaches a seminar at the law school I went to.

I forgot. . .

I was walking in DC with a buddy of mine and I saw the “FREE MONEY FROM THE GOVERNMENT” guy, Matt Lesko. Walked right past him on the street. He was actually wearing the question mark suit at the time, which I thought was really, really weird. It was about 9 or 10pm on a Friday night.

I was pissed because I always promised myself if I ever saw that douche, I was going to punch him in the face for all of those annoying commercials. I missed my opportunity. If I ever see him again, I’ll punch him twice.

Reread the post and you’ll notice clearly that his name is mentioned in the second sentence.

Hope your not the creep who was caught taking soil from his garden.

He says Dennis first, but then says he was questioned about his relationship with Donald. Since there was no mention of Donald beforehand I was confused as well. I finished reading a serial killer book not too long ago and Nilson was mentioned pretty frequently.
