Yeah, I think I’ve been greatly underestimating my strength, if I can get a 200lb guy off my back, I should be able to squat more than 75. I’m just not used to feeling that much weight so concentrated in one spot. Well maybe knee on belly but I can barely deal with that. I really want to be able to stand while in Dallas’ high guard. How does one train for that? He’s only 165lbs.
The thing is, you’re not starting from a point of good posture. It’s like having a weight around your neck and starting a squat from childs pose in yoga. If he has high guard your spine is curved. So you have to pull your head up, get posture, get your feet into a squat stance, then stand. To keep his hips locked I’m going to have to narrow my squat stance too. Ugh.
I’ve determined I can’t do the morning fast thing, I end up starving a lunch and makng bad choices. I should be rambling on in my log rather than here huh, wouldn’t want to agravate Polo more.

I haven’t really been, Ive just been wakng up too late to pack food, so was playing with the idea. Some of the PW ladies have actually been fasting, MiM included. It’s an interesting subject, but not something I know that much about. I’ve actually just been playing with listening to natural hunger cues to determine what my body thinks is maintenance. Over the last week, eating clean, it’s been about 2300. Which sems like a lot but makes sense, I’m not little, and I train almost everyday. So I think to lose some of this extra I need to hover around 2000. That’s completely doable.

You train in bjj right? You also lift (135 squat ain’t bad at all). I haven’t peaked at your training log but I"m assuming you eat relatively clean? It’s how much you eat sure, but it’s also what those calories consist of. 2000 calories of lean meat, healthy fats, veggies fruits etc is going to make you look/feel a helluva lot different than 2000 calories of Micky D’s, beers, and cake. Why do you feel you have to lose some extra? It seems that your activity level is high from the little I know about you from your ramblings. (BTW I’m not trying to convince you that you do or don’t … everyone has their own goals for their reasons) Of course, maybe the extra you want to lose is from not washing your hair for weeks (joke).

Are we talking about my avi? It’s old, I’m about 20lbs heavier now. Probably 150 there, sitting at 170 now. I’m not huge by any means, and that 20lbs wasn’t all fat. I’m much stronger in a lot of different planes of motion now. I’m bigger than I like to be though, and much heavier than I want to be to compete. Girls weight classes are 135 and below or over. And at 170 I can’t take 220 lb girls. I can make 135 though, so by the end of the summer I want to walk around at 140.
