Alcohol remorse = the walk of shame?

FWIW I don’t drink and I still have fun and AM fun.

Heyoooo!

I don’t drink either, other than the very rare occasion. Beer or two a month, if that.

Spent all day yesterday on the couch, and still feel lousy this morning…

I like training hard and the drinking just works counter to what my goals should be.

AND…did some things while under the influence that I never EVER would have done sober. (dancing, singing, carrousing, pinching, etc…)

AND…don’t want to be on the liver doner list.

been spending alot of time kicking myself in the ass lately.
Meh. There’s a lesson in there somewhere. I always feel like an ass the next day but because my mouth gets me in ALOT of trouble. It’s a miracle people still talk to me. (:
Better than your Ass getting you in trouble, I suppose…

Just wish I had the courage to quit, but I KNOW that I’ll be back at it.

I imagine what my training would be like if I did quit…

You just made me imagine what my training would be like if I drank.

:::shudder:::

Not to mention this fucking diet… I mean there would be NO WAY.

Pops, why do you think you lack the courage NOT to drink?

Here’s what I’ve been told. People like us, we can’t look at it as quitting forever. It’s just a decision to not drink that day, made every day, that eventually gets easier.

There are definitely some trash in rural Arkansas, but like we say here, Thank God for Mississippi

Nope, never been there. I get alot of funny looks when i tell people here in this college town that i don’t drink. But i am an anomaly regarding that though, so whatever.

That’s a sayin round the group I hang out with…That we’d quit playing golf if we just had the courage…kind of an inside joke, I guess…

BTW…I just about quit playing golf anyways…

Well then, like PMPM said, one day at a time man.

THIS is some goooooood advice.

I hardly drank when the kids were small, didn’t really have time, with soccer, baseball, basketball, football, The kids played in the worship band at church then started thier own rock band in HS…
In other words, we were fucking BUSY as hell…then when they went off to college, and I had some more time, changed jobs and just got into the habit. But my training went through the roof too, so they both have increased hand-in-hand…ya’know?

This is true, PMPM…thanks for reminding me.

Well, I don’t believe in quitting. Then it becomes drinking=fail. I’m looking for that middle ground where I can have some fun and not be the oddball. Since labor day weekend, I’ve drank twice and feel good about those times so I’m on the right track.

Hai my sweet e-crush…still in for some pizza?

Huh?

Brother Chris, why the interest in the KKK?
No interest in the KKK. I just don’t get disgusted by them, or really any group except for one. I just seen enough stupid shit to realise that I should just ignore it. I think they are sheep fucking retards personally, and I don’t tolerate listening to all that hateful shit they spew.

I’ve only personally ran into the KKK once and it was unpleasant as could be, but I handled it properly and they left me alone.
Alright, just making sure you’re not some internet KKK wanna be.

Good for you. I go out for happy hours all the time after work with a buncha drunks but I rarely drink. It drove them crazy initially. Now they just accept it and don’t even comment.
