Ever Feel Like a Threadkiller (27)

The best gains of my life happened when I did 2 a days. Upper body on Monday Thursday, lower on Tuesday Friday.

Thanks Chim, Herc and Bass. Appreciate the responses and will work on this again tonight. Morning all. I’m off to work too damn early!

The KKK burned my family’s store and shot at my grandparents in their home, so I pretty much have disgust for anyone who would associate with people who do that.

Brother Chris, why the interest in the KKK?

Hai, bitches!

Well, sorry about that. Why did they do that?

Morning! Or afternoon. (:

No interest in the KKK. I just don’t get disgusted by them, or really any group except for one. I just seen enough stupid shit to realise that I should just ignore it. I think they are sheep fucking retards personally, and I don’t tolerate listening to all that hateful shit they spew.

I’ve only personally ran into the KKK once and it was unpleasant as could be, but I handled it properly and they left me alone.

My aunt married a Cuban man.

Well sorry about that, everyone knows they say about Cubans, or is that Puerto Ricans? The KKK burned your families store down and shot at your grandparents because your aunt married a Cuban. What year was this, presumably back in the 60’s?

Really? They still did that shit in 1980? Was your aunt in a relationship with someone from or related to the KKK, because that is fucking weird. But it is Arkansas, so that could explain everything.

Atty, Regarding your question about splits…

this’ll be a long post, so please have patience.

I did a FBT (full body training) for 5 weeks earlier this year, on an every other day schedule… while on a low carb diet. Not only did I lose 14lbs of flab, but it reshaped my body and gave me a more athletic flow. Many people commented on this. I only did it for 5 weeks, cause the diet and training left me depressed and tired, and my bi’s, tri’s, traps, calves, forearms didn’t ge the attention that I thought they needed.

BUT…I did it to lose BF, and mission accomplished.

To gain muscle, the best split I have ever done was a 4 day split with only one day off between (4 on 1 off) schedule. High intensity, high reps, short 45 minute bursts of training, then home to recoup and eat. I also coupled this with a moderate to high carb diet and I got fucking pumped. The idea is to keep the weights low in order not to get hurt. The problem is that I am only able to sustain this level of training for 8 weeks, then I get burned out and spend the next two weeks on the couch.

That’s another part of the equation is your active rest periods.

I am currently on a 4 day split, 5 days per week and will stay on this for another 2 weeks, then will probably head into another FBT, low carb diet to lose some weight before the holidays ( and my December trip to Maui)

But Beansie is right, whatever works for you and whatever your goals and fitness level all are the variables in deciding what works best for you. PMPM’s training, however very effective, would not come close to helping me reach my goals, as mine would not for her’s, ya’know?

This hasn’t been very helpful, I know, and this is usually why I refrain from offering advice.

but you did ask…

BTW Family…I think it’s time that I quit drinking.

Have a fun story to tell us?

Spent all day yesterday on the couch, and still feel lousy this morning…

I like training hard and the drinking just works counter to what my goals should be.

AND…did some things while under the influence that I never EVER would have done sober. (dancing, singing, carrousing, pinching, etc…)

AND…don’t want to be on the liver doner list.

been spending alot of time kicking myself in the ass lately.

Well, I think someone’s V card needs to be revoked. You can’t be a viking and not drink.

Edgy, thanks for such a detailed response. I appreciate it. Alcohol remorse huh? We’ve all been there.

Meh. There’s a lesson in there somewhere. I always feel like an ass the next day but because my mouth gets me in ALOT of trouble. It’s a miracle people still talk to me. (:
