After about a month of PT the knee is feeling a little better and the hip worse than even. Went in for another checkup, and took a look at the hip x-rays. I Had no idea what I was looking at but I could tell from 10 feet away that something is very wrong in the left hip. I have Femoroacetabular Impingement and am seeing a specialist on Friday to talk about surgical options. The Doc that did my shoulder has had the surgery himself.
He said the rehab isn’t that bad, in my case with my hip being in the shape it is, I’m buying time an hopefully avoiding a much worse surgery by going under the knife now.

The hip doesn’t hurt when running so I ran about 3 miles on asphalt with my vibrams. Hip feels good, knee feels good, feet are fine. What are all these people complaining about not running on the road, and getting stress fractures. I have wicked high aches, that last thing I should do is run barefoot according to everyone.
Hiking in them is the best.
Trail running feels awesome, except for the rocks.
Road running feels great, I only heal strike when wearing sneakers with thick soles like Nike Frees.
Job is good. It’s a small office. 33 people last month, down to 27 this month. They are bleeding people, revenue is up, and they are not hiring replacements.

Reminds me of where I work.
Cut my department (and others) down 50% and outsourced the work, then, gave us even more work to do.
How long are they going to keep cutting, do you know?
They are not cutting jobs, people are quitting because they are sick of being overworked and under-appreciated. People are working 10-12 hour shifts day in and day out, management turns around and cuts raises from 10% to 2% as a thank you. People work 60 hour weeks, cover others, and come in on Saturday and management doesn’t even acknowledge it with a simple thank you. It’s a toxic environment, with no growth.

Gotcha. That sucks, of course.
Are they salary or hourly, Bass?
Salary, and paid shit for the most part. I’m a nobody, but I make more than managers who have been there 7 years. Upper management is paid well, but they don’t leave, and they don’t hire from within for fear that once someone who has been there a while moves up they will want to change the way things are done.
