Bleh. Yesterday I did one measley set of snatch grip deads. 1 set of five. Today, my whole upper back is on fire.
Im either impressed with the efficiency of SGDL or unimpressed with my upper back. Maybe both.

Does this look ok? Do I look like I have too much extra to wear something form fitting? I hate the cold, it makes dressing difficult. How am I supposed to dress well when I still have to run all over campus? Fucking rain.
Also, someone needs to take my computer away from me when I’m drunk. Hot damn.

Top of the mornin to ya!! How was the run?
Cold and wet, the best runs always happen in those conditions for me…no idea why.
I run better in those conditions, too. I feel “free-er” for whatever reason.

For some reason that was the first way I did deads. I thought deads were more for back than legs for a long time.
Morning TK.
I need to upgrade my coffee.
Yes MiM, I’ll be doing squats again. 4 weeks out now.
Four60, Steely. I like running in snowstorms.
It’s all quiet, the falling snow kills the sound.
Patch—I think you look great!
Scj—I throw them in the mix. Since I was 135lbs of anger yesterday, I felt like trying all sorts of heavy lifting. I did my 205 warm up set with snatch grip and it apparently fried me.
I’m feeling much better today.

Thanks, that’s all I needed. Times like this, I miss roommates.

smooth and curvy Patch! Go for it.
2busy et al., a trail run in the snow is as close to an ethereal experience as you’ll ever have. Pure gold.
So I tried one of Wendler’s prowler workouts last night, the medium one I think. Should have just taken the prowler outside instead of using the yoke. Prowler = 65ish # unloaded, yoke = 200. Back is one giant knot of soreness. My 8 yr old patient isn’t going to appreciate my sincere lack of ability to play today.
Oops, haha
Patch—rarely do I miss roomies, BUT I did always value their fashion input. Except onetime I had a guy roommate. He didn’t give a damn about women’s fashion ![]()
^ can vouch for that. My last female roomie used to constantly ask me what she should wear to work the next day. I didn’t understand how she could possibly be thinking about it the night before.
Funny, she moved out and decided to live with another girl. Imagine that.
Ok so what do you guys do for rain proof shoes? I’ve got bright red rainboots. Carry shoes and switch everywhere? I can’t teach in red rainboots. Is there such a thing as a professional waterproof shoe?
Have you ever wondered why academics look sloppy? This, this is why.
I actually heard someone tell their assistant yesterday “You have to wear real pants to work, preferbly one’s you can put a belt on. You don’t have to wear a belt, but you should be able to.” He’s been wearing pajamas to work lately.

I would, with a pair of boots.
Patch, you look great in that pic.
Hope you can stay dry.

Gay guys, the best roommate permutation I’ve ever had. Less girl drama with all the ‘let’s do girl stuff’ fun.

I was going to say something but I’m a guy and it would have sounded sexual…I’m still waiting to be a grown up.
So, my new love seat/futon got delivered last night 5 days early, which would have been awesome if it wasn’t left out in the pouring rain. I appreciate it being delivered early and all but a) I don’t recall waiving the need to sign for it, it was just sitting outside in a city where shit gets stolen and b) it was in the fucking rain!
Haven’t had time to open the box yet, I am scurred.

Goal for this weekend, knee high riding boots. Right now all I’ve got are my Asolo hiking boots, and stilettos. Neither both looks good and works for a ‘pedestrian friendly campus’.
oh I thought you said boobs.
