I scrape by on 6, 7-9 is my ideal.

Meditation does work… I like the standard sheep counting to empty my mind.

Also, even if you feel like caffeine in general doesn’t have much effect on you, try cutting it out mid afternoon at the latest and just see what happens after a couple days.

Plus, studies show the light from televisions, PCs and mobile devices can alter natural melatonin release and keep you up…

cut back on stimulants
shut down the ol’ T-Nation at a pre-determined time
lay in bed in a cool, dark environment, no tv.

sleep.
Meditation: been there, done that, mastered it.
Stims: Have little effect on my sleep. I can literally down a gallon of caffeine, then curl up sleep for a couple of hours.
No PC in my barracks room. No TV. Very dark.
35 degrees outside. Windows open. Cool, dark environment: check.
Sleep.
3-4 hours later: wakey-wakey.
Punch your roomate next time he tickles you in the middle of the night.
No roommate.
Not ticklish.
Very light sleeper when asleep.
Pic is a display of my prowess in the kitchen.
if those are choc chip cookies I’ll be your roomate. Might even marry you.

Chocolate-CHUNK cookies. My very own recipe. Word of caution, though. They have been known to cause instant orgasms. They’re that good.

I believe there are multiple copies of this cat.

Kerly’s cat looks just like it too.

This is an interesting article…related to waking in the wee hours of the morning.

I have not tried meditation. I just leave the room, sit on the couch til I’m tired again and go back to sleep. This has only been happening since the husband got back from deployment.

And I got some hormonal stuffs being worked out which may or may not be playing a part.

I have no idea. Once I had a girlfriend and we spent most nights together, for like a year. She said some nights I didn’t snore, sometimes a little bit and others like a freight train falling down a hill.

Most nights seemed ok though. She didn’t really bitch the next day unless it was bad. Maybe one or two mornings a month I’d catch grief.

She used to fart in her sleep though. Really gross, let 'em rip farts as she wasn’t awake to “hide” them. Really gross.

*trying to figure out how to infuse snappy humor…

Another reason it’s hard for me to get back to sleep is these freakin heart palps I got goin on.

I get up to use the restroom, I lay back down and it feels like I just ran a mile. Not good. Definitely bringing that up with the new doc.

You do know that loud noises attract zombies. You would be zombie food! Ain’t no way I can sleep next to that shit.

No zombies will be on my boat in the middle of the ocean sweetie. It will be perfect.

Some dirt trays for peppers and tomatoes, unlimited supply of fish for food, fertilizer and more bait, a water desalination system, 4 chicks you still need to pic, Orion and you’ll need a new ginger. Edgy kicked himself out in that other thread.

And a gun of course. Just in case a zombie does swim alongside, or a shark hits some bait or something.

We can even be pirates sometimes and you can have a shoulder parrot if you want.

1-2 cups o coffeeee…6-7am

1 rockstar pre gym- 9am

Those are my ‘stims.’ Used to take all kinds o’ pills but cut those out. Heart palps started in June.

And no rockstars on non training days…
