Ever Feel Like a Thread Killer? 52

I wish I would have made it to 345.

My brother and I share music back and forth via facebook. We both have our own methods and end up finding some unique groups and sounds. He sent me this one last night. Kind of diggin’ it, sippin’ my coffee and rounding up stuff to head out the door for work.

Quick question, not from a judgemenal stance, where did this zombie stuff come from? It’s like an obsession as great as lolcats.

Is it the tv show or just a general love oddly shared by many posters?

Zombies = end of the world

I think they replaced the nuclear bomb.

I just see them being posted about a lot. And randomly, it’s not like they are worked in to a conversation.

A: “I was walking my dog and I saw a zombie today”

B: “Awesome, the apocolypse is here!”

A: “Yep.”

Cool and all, just thought maybe I was missing something. Carry on though, was just curious.

So have any of you non sleepers ever tried meditation? I would go bonkers if I didn’t get 6-7 hours of sleep.

I scrape by on 6, 7-9 is my ideal.

Meditation does work… I like the standard sheep counting to empty my mind.

Also, even if you feel like caffeine in general doesn’t have much effect on you, try cutting it out mid afternoon at the latest and just see what happens after a couple days.

Plus, studies show the light from televisions, PCs and mobile devices can alter natural melatonin release and keep you up…

cut back on stimulants
shut down the ol’ T-Nation at a pre-determined time
lay in bed in a cool, dark environment, no tv.

sleep.

Meditation: been there, done that, mastered it.
Stims: Have little effect on my sleep. I can literally down a gallon of caffeine, then curl up sleep for a couple of hours.
No PC in my barracks room. No TV. Very dark.
35 degrees outside. Windows open. Cool, dark environment: check.
Sleep.
3-4 hours later: wakey-wakey.

Anytime I am having trouble sleeping, I Netfix Columbo (Just one more thing…} or X-Files.

I like both, but they always put me to sleep.

I don’t think I have ever seen an entire X-Files episode.[/quote]

Columbo is great to watch. Especially the Shatner episodes.

Punch your roomate next time he tickles you in the middle of the night.

Morning, TK.

Must have been a bad night overall for TK.

Coughing and ab muscle spasms kept waking me up.

That and having the 30 lb cat decide I was a pillow.

No roommate.
Not ticklish.
Very light sleeper when asleep.
Pic is a display of my prowess in the kitchen.
