About a day…
I had been on here back in the early 2003-2004. So when I came back I lurked for a couple of weeks.

less than a week.
I had originally read an article back in 2006, then sometime after that I got my own account.

This time around 4-5 months but I found this site back in 03 or 04, followed a link from the Oxygen Magazine(woman’s fitness magazine) messageboard. I didn’t join back then and I don’t even remember the forum from back then.

Hall- why don’t you try it and find out.
We won’t tell your coach!!
Deb- awesome snatch! (never gets old)
Grny- yes, we could have poured $6-700 into that dog to get her treated. Not to mention more money to get her tail fixed(it had a cyst) get her spayed and get her up to date with her shots… too much!
I don’t do a set program either and rather like it that way. I just try and progress in some way each week.
Oh, I wasn’t meaning you! I meant the shelter or vet clinic. I once surrendered a kitten to a vet clinic who had a 106 degree temp (or something equally ridiculously high), severe ear infection, ear mites, all sorts of stuff wrong, and they covered all her medical expenses. And then she was adopted by a lady who took in difficult cats. This kitten was an outside cat and refused to use a litter box. This lady had a farm and a barn and was able to take care of cats that refused to be house broken, so to speak.

I’ve never been one to stay on a program for more than 3 weeks. I started 5/3/1 two months ago and I enjoy it.
1- love the flexibility. Bad days I just go in and do prescribed rep/set. Good day I can kill it with tons of accessory work.
2- it has forced me to rep out my deads over 225lbs which has been a major blockage for me. Finally managed 250 x 5 without any resets. really proud of that.
3- my goals are overall strenght gains for powerlifting competition so lifting hard and heavy 3 times a week works for me. The millies are not a competition lift so I usualy combine them with another lifting day.
I’m not saying I will stay on this program forever but I have made some really good progress so far.

I have to point out something, 5/3/1 is a program, but it is based on principals that you should follow. Ones that Jim tries to teach people. If you want an article that talks about those principals specifically, let me know.
I admit I might be doing my basterdized version, which I will whipped for. Send me your article, I’d be curious to see how I agree and disagree. Regardless if I’m adhering strictly or not I still have seen some good results on my squats and deads. Bench has been stagnant since January but it’s not my priority.

Morning folks
Well, he has mocked my MAN skills. I will assume that means no.
As for the second question. I don’t.
well, for the sake of clarity, neelydan mocked your attempt at “subtly” championing your own “MAN skills” (whatever the fuck that is).
But neelydan’ll page dr.freud, cause he’d have a hay day with how quickly you went to your “MAN skills” being worthy of mocking.
neelydan supposes this isnt the thread for him, it’s far too friendly for anteaters to do their thing.
respectfully yours,
Good

Sophomore year in high school…so 3 year 05 to 08
Mostly reading articles though…they were so bad ass back then.
No wait it was fall semester so I started in 04
4 years ah ah ah
I hope the doc figures out what’s wrong with my shoulder and fixes it. I’d like to be able to get back full speed relatively soon.
I lurked maybe 3 or 4 months?
I was part of a forum that was for that F-HEIT supplement. Back when PHIL and Mod Terry Lee were some of the moderators, etc…
I took a break, came back and wound up here cause they shut that forum down.
Grny- NP…I placed a lot of calls to rescue shelters so with any luck maybe one will come forward.
