I would do the hack squats if it weren’t for the shoulder pads. I can’t imagine what kind of bruises those things would put on my shoulders. The calf raise machine is bad enough!!

Got it. Yeah for me this is why squatting is like the most intense. You fail on a DL, well, you just don’t pull it. With a squat that weight is on you and yeah its lift motherfucker up up up or you’re all going down. Intensity!
@BC the reps is just how my coach has my program written:
Squats. Rep range 8-15. Sets x5
I just did my last group of 95lbs 15reps x5 sets so now I go back down to the bottom of the rep range but up in weight I’m moving.

Yep, either you get it or you’re gonna come crashing back down to earth. Especially with no lifting partners. Squatting gets kinda intimidating that way.
