Personally, I love coconut oil. I haven’t had a blood test comparison though, I’ve always had impeccable cholesterol, which I attribute to ridiculous amounts of fish oil and coq10 rather than coconut oil, though it may be a factor.
Have you looked into red yeast rice?

I think a lot of TNation authors/nutritionist types/contributions say yes to coconut oil. It’s hella expensive. Trav, that last pic is hilarious!
coconut oil is like $8 a pound. not that bad imo
yeah, i use the spectrum brand and can get it for around 4$ a bottle on sale.
Also, the woman and I have been doing a lot of babysitting. On one hand it’s good because she loves seeing me with babies- I’m pretty good with them I guess, but on the other hand I don’t want her getting too baby crazy because I don’t think we’d want kids right off the bat. But who knows.
Life is pretty awesome. I’ve recently had a bunch of passive income all pay off at once, and so I am sitting on a good cushion even after putting away 25% for savings. I know it has to last though, so I’m not going to do too much- I might splurge on an econo prowler, but we’ll see where I’m at once I pay my next credit cards off and pay for the ring.
