ta!

In my hunt for finding some sort of coach I have crossed paths with local lifters who are FB friends with people who know me here. I hope I can manage to not be recognized.

I get all my information from here and just workout alone so it will be hard to not mention it or CT. I don’t want to lie though. I might just have to leave it at ‘the internet.’

I’m working today, so suck it.
Me too! I go in at 12. IH is driving me. After work we’re going to the bookstore to buy him some graphic novels.
This didn’t quite work out as planned, unfortunately.

I’m going to attempt to work out for the first time in 5 days since I was sick. I love feeling weak as balls.

I always wait for the day when talking to someone at the gym and they say “Hey, you should check out this site called T-Nation”. LOL.

hehe.

I hate bench press. Mostly because I suck at it. At 285, I should be able to bench 285 consistently, and having benched 315 before, I should be able to do that again. But I don’t. I hate volume on pressing movements too- I have to go super light and i wind up just getting a wicked shoulder pump.

Maybe I should go with decline bench? Sorry, just rambling here.

Three day weekend. More time for the woman.
What do you do usually do for bench
Usually my bench is 2-3 warmup sets of the bar, bar +25s, bar +35s

then sets of 185, 225, 245, 265, 285 (when I can hit it) usually in triples after 225. I will be the first to admit my bench programming sucks, but part of it is because my chest is weak, part of it is my left shoulder is still a little tweaked, and part of it is I just like squatting and deadlifting more. Also, I don’t have a spotter for bench usually, but that will hopefully be changing here soon.

I am debating whether to do 531 or not because honestly I have been making great progress with squat and deadlift lately, so would it make any sense to just follow 531 for bench and keep my other lifts as is? Or go into full-fledged 531 for everything?

Plus, my chest are my worst muscles. I’m not very aesthetic period, but my chest sucks.
Getting a spotter or benching inside a cage would be my first step. Besides that I would personally try doing some higher rep sets of bench here and there, but really just go by feel and bench a bit more than you are now so you can get more comfortable with the lift would be my advice. 531’s fine if you want although I don’t really like it much.

You’ll figure it out.

Fuck that ink. Suffer on your own… Damn

Nothing exciting happened at work today…besides watching the Steelers/Ravens game on 3 gigantic flatscreens.

Balls!

Steelers over Ravens

Jets (I HOPE) over Pats

Bears (I REALLY HOPE) over Packers

Steelers to win it all if the Bears choke.

Fuck the Pats.
