I make progress with both. And I enjoy low reps more than high reps. But the results I’ve been getting from the high reps is what I need to compete.

Yeah but you have your head on all sideways about it…

You can still lift in a lower rep range and get in the volume. You can still focus on getting stronger in a “'hypertrophy” rep range.

You are over complicating a simple thing.

I already know that I can get stronger with high reps. I just said yesterday that what used to be my 3RM I can now do for 8 reps.

I understand what’s being said, and I already know this. I’m not saying that you have to sacrifice one for the other. It’s just… the best of both worlds for me. I like doing the higher reps, but I also like pushing my body to my limits with single reps. It’s more mental for me.

Focus may or may not be part of your issue.

You need to start. Either get caffeine pills, or drink as much energy drinks or coffee you can get away with. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN A JITTERY STATE. You need to be amped but calm enough to think and behave in a normal manor.

I can drink a grande redeye and take a 200mg pill, after 4-6 diet cokes throughout the day, and be okay. You would be better off with less I’m sure. lol
