Food shooping with the wife last night. I’m an isle behind her with the cart. And these fucking skanks (while attractive) were dressed like whores and walked down the same isle my wife was in. There were like 6 other people in that isle, so i stopped at the top and waited for my wife. It was too crowded.
There were these two dudes at the top talking. And as the skanks walked by:
Dude 1: damn
Dude 2: Oh… looks at me they with you?
me: hell no. I’m waiting for my wife. at this point I was somewhat insulted that I looked like the type that woudl hang out with hoochies like that.
dude 2: oh okay, you are like way bigger than me, I wasn’t gonna say anything if they were with you.
I was pretty flattered.
I know I sound like a douche telling that story, but it isn’t often rando strangers comment on my size.

It was the sweater I was wearing. Thing hangs just right and makes me look fucking jacked.
My wife caught me checking myself out in the security camera TV that is on display when you walk in, and made fun of me endless.

This morning I found a little notepad in my gym with some measurements but no dates.
It has two columns. One has my hips at 42 inches, then the next column at 36. So I measured today and I’m at 39 around the butt. I think the second column was early on in my lifting and the first one was after losing some weight. My waist was 32.5 inches in the first column.
I used to have a spreadsheet but I lost it when my last laptop’s drive died.
Do you keep a lifting journal/log?
Not one that has any historical value. I don’t log what I have done but sometimes I log what I think I ought to do, before I start. It’s just a mess and is more of a scratchpad than a log. More often than not I will just go and do whatever I feel like I ought to do. Sometimes I don’t even add up the weight, but I just put it on until it gives me the right feel for the muscle. I like to do this with cleans and c&j and c&p because psychologically knowing the numbers makes me think I can’t do it.

This!!! I never keep a log of weight or reps, just exercises I do or should do. If I know last time hit 315x5 at rep 4 this time I fail. I hate DLing sometimes becuz of this. I just pick a weight then rep until I can’t anymore. If I feel weaker then I go lighter and moar volume, if i feel strong, I ramp weight until I can only rep 3-5.

Deb, it’s all about the numbers, don’t ever forget that :P. That being said I stopped writing in my journal since I started logging mah #'s in the BOI. Kudos for doing Oly lifts though, movements with too much technique hurt my brain.

Damn Mak Trav, still working? Do you have liquor stores where it’s the only place you can buy? WA is like that. I had to walk mega blocks to get to the only one in downtown Seattle so I could get some Grey Goose for my friend’s BD. Not the best part of the city and full of interesting people
I’m still at work. Naw this isn’t the only place to go, this town is full of liquor stores lol. In fact this one might go out of business if my owners don’t smarten up and start ordering more stock. What are you up to?
