i can incline 80’s for 10!

next week: 90’s! biggest problem is just kicking them up, i need a breather once i get’em on my shoulders.

I can incline 50s for 8, meh. I need to work on that some more…I was almost to the 55s then I ‘backed off.’

thinking of stayin in school to become a PE teacher!

I’m using it in place of DB Pressing because I can rarely find anyone that can hand me a 110lbs DB. I really do like these over the traditional ones. In my opinion, they have a lot of benefits like easier tempo/tension play and less stressful unracking…no need to wait fore the 1 other big guy in the gym to hand you a 110 pound DB with these horizontals.

damn the 110’s? I’m gonna give these shoulder cable press things a try on my next shoulder day.

lol, I made being strong a priority back in 8th grade and have been injury free since then and no serious interruptions …7 iears ago, maybe?

When you do these cable presses, try to turn your arm through the motion…from palms face down to thumbs facing down.

Mom-In-MD just keeps on getting better and better.

you’re an impressive maffaca! lol

THAT CHICK’S BAD!!!

Just read through the “Dickheads at the Gym” thread. what a clusterfuck.

I just skimmed the first and last page and between threads like that and the squat rack curls, I’m glad I work out at home.

I do both too. But my shoulders suck.

You have good delt/chest tie in’s though. I think we have similar issues.

Bonez mentioned behind the back cable raises, and I <3 them mucho
I just found out what that was last week(delt chest tie ins). I dont have any machines so I can only do BB and DB exercises. Ive been doing BTN presses too. I also think I dont like the shape of my delts and I cant do anything about that.

Breakfast buffet tally:

6 sausages
10ish pieces of bacon
3 french toast (they were smallish, but rich and dense raisin cinnamon brioche)
2 2 egg cheese green onion omelets
1 mini waffle (whipped cream and berries on waffle and french toast)
maple syrup on everything but the omelets
Nice buffet action! I hate it when syrup gets on my eggs.

Anywho, on the shoulders, DB lateral raises will be a key piece of the puzzle. There are a bunch of variations (standing, strict seated, 1-arm lean away). For women, shoulder width from developing the medial head combined with a tight waistline and developed lower body gives that awesome “X” structure.

Edit: My shoulders suck as well…I need to take my own advice.
Hmm I was doing those for a while but I can’t remember why I stopped. I’ll add them back.

I am not doing that. You obviously know what you’re doing, I mean, look at your progress so far. I really doubt you need a trainer at this point even. You’re highly motivated and that is what’s importatnt…especially with this trial and error game we’re in.

=)
I tend to think most people are better off without a trainer anyhow. Unless you’re being coached for a competition of some sort, then having a professional guide you along seems like a good idea.

I could be wrong but it seems to me that people are better off getting the concepts right and wrong themselves.

Anyone agree or disagree?

If someone eats paleo zone, what does that mean?
You’re talking crossfitian now.

Paleo is eating like a caveman or something like that and zone is that whole counting blocks p/f/c 1/3 of each or something. I guess you’re referring to a marriage of the two?

I’m not a fan of either personally. I particularly object to the counting of blocks instead of standard food units of grams and calories.
Yeah, I overheard some girl talking about it a CF yesterday, I didn’t know it was specific to them.

When all you eat are eggs and vegetables, it’s hard to go to dinner with your friends. I made it a cheat meal, but I can’t keep doing that. I guess I’m salad girl from now on, huh?

That one of the reasons I’m not a fan of diets that are too restrictive. You’re often faced with two options: cheat or skip eating. Neither is ideal. But if you`re not going to eat meat and you want protein without excessive carbs I don’t know if there is anything you can do. Have a scoop of protein just before you eat?

Well, the vegetarian thing is my parents, you know? I can’t really go against something I was raised with and they believe in so strongly.

I had 4 eggs on the mats after training, I’m just going with being the odd girl that eats weird. I think most wrestlers are ED NOS anyway, they don’t think it’s that odd. It’s when I try to venture outside of my world that I’m weird.

The vegetarian thing makes eating out difficult, for sure. When I go out with friends, I can always have a steak or a chicken breast and have it be reasonable, but I see where you’re having trouble.

I am frequently the odd girl who eats weird, it’s okay.

Cliff notes for PMPM:

Kitties are awesome! I don’t care what Polo and Court say.

Happy late birthday, Toots. You freak.

It just makes the prospect of dating weird too. I think I have a date on Thursday. How long until I tell him about BJJ? Lifting? That I eat like a freak? You know, that’s why it’s easy to stay w/in my friends, but dating them doesn’t actually work.

Your husband doesn’t train does he? Does he think you’re weird? I’m reading RBlue log, and her BF thinks she’s getting too big. How are you supposed to achieve that balance?
