You have good delt/chest tie in’s though. I think we have similar issues.

Bonez mentioned behind the back cable raises, and I <3 them mucho
I just found out what that was last week(delt chest tie ins). I dont have any machines so I can only do BB and DB exercises. Ive been doing BTN presses too. I also think I dont like the shape of my delts and I cant do anything about that.

Breakfast buffet tally:

6 sausages
10ish pieces of bacon
3 french toast (they were smallish, but rich and dense raisin cinnamon brioche)
2 2 egg cheese green onion omelets
1 mini waffle (whipped cream and berries on waffle and french toast)
maple syrup on everything but the omelets

I’m glad it’s late spring early summer time.

If someone eats paleo zone, what does that mean?
You’re talking crossfitian now.

Paleo is eating like a caveman or something like that and zone is that whole counting blocks p/f/c 1/3 of each or something. I guess you’re referring to a marriage of the two?

I’m not a fan of either personally. I particularly object to the counting of blocks instead of standard food units of grams and calories.

eating paleo means you can have all the meat and veggies you want right? Nothing processed in any way? Sounds pretty good to me… giant steaks and sweet potatoes for every meal… mmmm

oh and hai guyzzz

Nice buffet action! I hate it when syrup gets on my eggs.

Anywho, on the shoulders, DB lateral raises will be a key piece of the puzzle. There are a bunch of variations (standing, strict seated, 1-arm lean away). For women, shoulder width from developing the medial head combined with a tight waistline and developed lower body gives that awesome “X” structure.

Edit: My shoulders suck as well…I need to take my own advice.

go primal, it’s better!

LOL!

Do you find your traps take over once you get into the 50’s and 60’s with DB’s?

I usually quit at the 45s. Over that becomes a full body exercise, lol. My strength is meh on these so 60s are a long way off.

lmao man, you gotta quit caring about what other people are doing in the gym…cut your rest time down or something.

I think your perception of what I do or don’t care about is off. I observe a lot. But I really don’t give a fuck what someone is doing unless I see progress and effort. I mean, how is someone supposed to learn anything if they don’t look around them? I KNOW I don’t know everything, so I watch people making progress to see what they do that is different from myself.

The point of my post was:

Rather than some newb getting stronger in a DB press or BB press, they are going to swing their ass around playing with a cables because they saw a video on the internet and think it is superior. A developed dude or someone making progress that knows their body and can perform that lift appropriately should benefit from it greatly. Someone struggling to kick up the 50’s let along press them over head isn’t going to be able to stabilize themselves enough on that lift to do it right, let alone benefit from it.

But thanks for being my e-dad the last couple days. I really need your posting guidance.

lol, dude, nice explanation.

BUT

I was joking. =)

anyway dude that other bb row thread argument was studpid and I really didnt expect you to actually pay attention to that post…shit everyone else was going crazy so I figured I might as well.

pats Beans on head

ahhh <3

Ct don’t discount my newbness as me not being able to figure some things out. I went to brunch and didn’t eat nearly anything interesting like Debra did. I’m trying to wait another 1/2 hour or so before going to gym to avoid bumping into psycho trainer boy IF he came in for his own work out today. Ugh. Hai All!

good suggestion Ct Rock… I’ve gotta try that. Looks pretty awesome.

.greg.

I am not doing that. You obviously know what you’re doing, I mean, look at your progress so far. I really doubt you need a trainer at this point even. You’re highly motivated and that is what’s importatnt…especially with this trial and error game we’re in.

=)

I’m using it in place of DB Pressing because I can rarely find anyone that can hand me a 110lbs DB. I really do like these over the traditional ones. In my opinion, they have a lot of benefits like easier tempo/tension play and less stressful unracking…no need to wait fore the 1 other big guy in the gym to hand you a 110 pound DB with these horizontals.

imo dumbell presses in general should be kept in the higher rep range for that reason

110 DB, wow.
