As far as cheating goes, i will never cheat on my SO, ever. When i meet gals and find out they are not single, i immediately back away to a strictly business and non-personal approach. I have absolutely no interest in that person other than business or school related reasons. But it also sucks sometimes because the gals i seem to have common interests with almost always seem to be married or have boyfriends. I’m not a polyamourous type of guy either and that is a different thing altogether.
I’m actually seriously considering staying single the rest of my life because of all the cheating lying skanks that i come across on an almost daily basis. It simply amazes me how far they go to cheat. While i know this doesn’t include all females or guys for that matter, it still resonates loudly enough to me for me to consider it.
Okay enough of my ranting

This stuff doesn’t even happen to me anymore and I still feel this way sometimes.
I thought I would be single forever. Actually thought I would prefer it that way…until I met my BFF, AKA my husband
My Mom was married/divorced 4 times by the time I was 16 with various boyfriends in between. My ‘Dad,’ was married 3 times with different kids(including me!) from each marriage.
I thought I would be cursed but so far so good!
I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with being a bachelor for life as long as you’re happy with it. I wouldn’t fall into the trap of thinking that there are nothing but skank ass hoes out there to choose from though. The problem may be more of where you’re looking or finding these girls rather than the problem with the girls themselves. I’ve dating quite a bit in my late teens early to mid twenties and have never been cheated on; I’ve also dated some unsavory girls who one would assume WOULD cheat, but I guess I never took those girls seriously.
Point is, if you want to be single to avoid certain pitfalls and you believe you’ll be happier then kudos to you, but if you’re saying you want to stay single out of spite and disgust then I say that you’re missing the point.
Marriage was invented to perpetuate the species. Well we have plenty of humans. Women went through huge changes some years ago and this really changed society. Men and women alike have a lot of dissatisfaction with themselves and each other. Priorities have shifted. Standards have changed. Monogamy seems to be on a serious decline. Open relationships are becoming more common. I don’t think our society falls into a neat little box anymore when it comes to relationships. The problem arises when someone pretends to be in that neat little box and meets a hot girl in a class and conveniently fails to mention the little woman at home.
My parents stayed married till Pop died, 'bout 10 years ago. It was a loveless, unfriendly partnership Two people who just stayed together cause they didn’t know anything else. Both had affairs, and were barflys and alcoholics. Grandparents were the same way.
My first attempt at marriage ended after 9 months, after I found out that my sweet little wife (never marry your high school sweetheart) was doing 3 of my ‘friends’ while I was away at work. One at a time, that is.
all this has given me a different view of relationships.
guess you can say that I didn’t have good teachers in the marriage department. not telling you this for any sympathy, just trying to give ya’all a full picture what’s going on.
Problem is now, that I think I really enjoy my view, and just go with it, instead of blaming other people, or dwelling on the past, I just have a ‘hold on loosely’ ‘lets just have fun’ point of view.
