I am not doing that. You obviously know what you’re doing, I mean, look at your progress so far. I really doubt you need a trainer at this point even. You’re highly motivated and that is what’s importatnt…especially with this trial and error game we’re in.

I tend to think most people are better off without a trainer anyhow. Unless you’re being coached for a competition of some sort, then having a professional guide you along seems like a good idea.
I could be wrong but it seems to me that people are better off getting the concepts right and wrong themselves.
Anyone agree or disagree?
I think a lot of women would benefit from starting with a coach or “trainer” that is going to have you do the basic compounds over the stupid shit I see them putting people through. I feel like this will go a long way to help them warm up to the free weight section.
Men and boys, if they can’t sack up enough to figure out the basics on their own, fuck em… Thins the herd.
I tend to agree. But, i’d also think that women would benefit more from a female trainer, since womens bodies are touchier when it comes to food and hormone fluctuations. re: period.
Good point…
I tend to think that part of the reason women are so useless in the gym is because we expect them to be and they don’t take charge of the situation and figure stuff out because they can always lean on a boyfriend or trainer to hold their hand. And then they don’t ‘own’ their results and they don’t do it for themselves. There is no biological reason why a guy would be more apt to figure out a compound movement over a woman so why would there be a lowered expectation?
