YEs, because you just strap up…
I’ve been doing “Body English” DB rows (no straps) with 85’s and was thinking I was a puss.
But if you’re been doing 105s WITH straps, well I’m guessing the straps are good for at least a 20.125lb difference ;')
Yes straps make a big difference, my back is significantly stronger than what my hands can handle alone.
agreed, you can fucking pwn more than the 85’s dude
I was doing 70s (with straps) and now I feel like a badass. =D Only 8 reps though.

Mais pourquoi?

Faux rack pulls can certainly tire a person out in a hurry

Faux? Qu’est que c’est?

(I’m working on being a better habs fan)

If you’re Asking if I speak French…

I don’t. Faux is as far as it goes I’m afraid

I was more asking what you meant by faux rack pulls.

Oh. LOL.

That’s so much funnier than if I had said imagined.

Duck, I might stict form 65s without straps for several sets of 10, but I will Kroc form (english comes from the legs, not the back) 100-105 for 1-3 sets of 10. Just so ya know.

In other news, I get to go to court tomorrow for a crazy dude, in front of a drunk judge. Yay!

Hey that’s pretty good, next time you’ll get double digit reps.

Daammn

Haha thats pretty good, reminds me a little of that boston lawyer show about Denny i think is his name and all the crazy stuff he’s up to.

Good luck nontheless.

Soooooooooooo I went to kareoke tonight with 15 people from my class. I’ve had a few beers. My voice is a bit hoarse. My ears hurt from all the yelling we did during some songs and from how loud the background music was in our room. However, we switch from the “english” touch screen to the korean channel changer (the songs were still listed in english) and the videos went from the real artists to some of the most messed up love/hate/kill asian stories ever. We were rolling!

I have to do a short assignment for my 830 class tomorrow. I’m thinking about starting it at 815…

I can BB Row 245 for 8ish with okay form, I’ve just been too lazy to load up the tricep bar to do heavier 1 arm stuff.

Tonight was just a sweat session, while recovering from the sun-run and the watching-of-the-shitting-of-the-bed-at-GM-Place. (Hey look, the CFL starts Jun 13!)

(I’ll warn you in advance, I KNOW they’re like crossfit warm-up weights)

1A 110# Clean & Press (to 50 reps)
1B 150# Lat Pulldown (to 50 reps)
19:00 minutes
followed by concentration curls for:
1001, erh, 1002, aug, 1003, aaauregh Oh, I wasn’t expecting company, wooah aach it’s a deep burn…

yer a funny dude MD!

Ct. I probably don’t do as much as I should…right now the only way I ‘market,’ myself is through orientations for new members. But it’s been sloooow. Some of the regulars will point new members my way, but nothing has come of it, yet! I suppose I could mingle and socialize, but I don’t have time! I put my music on and away I go…

forgetting to boil your eggs last night sucks, because going in late = working late.

Good Morn’

Let’s start today off with a funny little story:

So, yesterday was deadlift day for me. There’s only one real place in my gym for deads and that’s right outside of the power rack … everywhere else is populated with equipment of morons standing around with pink dumbbells (i kid, my gym isn’t that bad but anyways). So, I finished my last set and I’m going to set up for some higher rep RDL’s supersetted with some step ups. There I am stripping the bar on the floor down to 225 for my RDL’s and this guy and his buddy come up.

Now they’re pretty strong guys, they work hard, I like em. So the leader asks me if I’m done using the cage. I immediately ask whoever is asking that question to me “What do you need it for.” It’s almost complusive now: them: “you almost done with the rack?” Me: “What do you need if for?” And if they say some stupid bullshit I tell them where they can also do that stupid bullshit and I hog the rack somemore :). But that wasn’t the case here.

However, what he did say gave me a chuckle. He says, “We need it for those half deadlift things. You know that use more of your lower back than hamstrings?” I laugh and say, “Rack pulls.” He says, “I guess if that’s what they’re called.” I say, “Yes, you’re telling me you’re going to do rackpulls. That’s what they’re called.” It was just really funny to me because I’ve watched them build up to about 425 on rack pulls, maybe more, while I"m waiting in the wings for like squats or good mornings or something like that. Never knew what they were called. Gave me a chuckle.

Hai polo! Fun story, I occasionally do things that I have no name for and BJJ in general is just names made up by individual academies. What’re your current gym goals?

I only got 3 hrs of sleep last night. I’m slow today.
